switch or stick ? €200-€300 budget for device

Hi guys,

Brief update - I came on here two years ago and haven't smoked since.

I love my vaping but its starting to wear me down.

I use an eGo-twist battery with a Kanger T3 and I exclusively vape Nut Juice from Wingnuts.

Here is the problem - I'm utterly fed up with gurgling, leaking and inconsistent experience.

I will set up a new clearomizer with a new coil and briefly enjoy a nice clean airy vape. I use the word 'airy' as I love when it flows nice and easy. I hate when I have to use a 'slow hard suck' method to get a vape. It's getting to the stage where I might change my coil daily just to have a few hours of nice airy vaping.

I really want to find a solution. If money within reason, €200-€300, is no problem then what is the most hassle free vape device. Something I can load my nutjuice into (fnaar fnaar) and vape without a huge variance in quality. That simple - load in vape/juice and have a nice airy vape. I like it airy.

Please tell me there is a solution as I want to continue vaping without the hassle I'm currently experiencing.

You have some patience using a crap setup like that for 2 years

I would recommend looking at the Subox mini kits that are out now or an iStick50w with either Kanger Subtanks or Eleaf lemo tanks if you don't mind building your own coils.
Been using a Kanger subtank plus for the last while and it have only leaked a bit once because of being shaken quite a bit in my motorcycle tank bag on way to work.

Obviously you would need to buy at least a battery as well but I would recommend getting 2 or 3 and an external charger, it would be well within your budget anyway

I wouldn't be into building anything. Out of the package and into action is the way I'd want it.

I also can't put anything metal into my mouth but that Kanger you've linked looks like a plastic mouthpiece so I'll research those a bit now.

If you can't put metal into your mouth you can always change the drip tip ( mouth piece ) you can do this on pretty much all tanks.
The one I linked to give you both the plug'n'play option and a rebuildable deck as well.

While I am personally a fan of the Sub Tank mentioned above by JH I have recently converted a few of my friends who were struggling with your kind of set up to the iStick and mini nautilus . It's just another option for you and it would tick the boxes you want ticked .

I think as we move on we have a tendency to forget how big a step up this was to the ego and basic clearomiser .

The GS Air tank could suit you perfectly OP. Its cheap as chips and the airflow can be adjusted to suit. Throw it on an istick and you'll see a world of difference.

The stock coils for the GS Air are far better than any of the Aspire of Kanger equivalents imo.

Aspire Nautilius Mini + iStick 30w = perfect kit !!!

A loot of flavour, no leaking, no hassle...just change drip tip for some plastic/ceramic one. Battery enought for 1-2 days

The full size nautilius fits perfect on the 30w iStick, if you're going that route you might as well get the 5ml tank, less filling.

That's what I'm using atm, only had the nautilius a day but so far so good.

Is my terminology of 'airy' and 'hard suck' understandable ?

I'm using my set up now and there is just no air flow. I have to 'take a pull' by sucking really slow and hard. Even then I'm getting a small amount of gurgling and very little vape.

Are any of the above suggestions a stand out 'airy' solution ?

Yeah we know all about airflow around here :pac:

The kanger T3 is pretty old at this stage and it was never that good IMO, any of the many things recommended above will be light years ahead of it.

Some of the tanks have massive airflow (subtank, lemo 2) so much that you have to take the vapor straight into your lungs. Others like the nautilius and the GS air have slightly less (but still loads and adjustable) meaning you can do the traditional smoking inhale into your mouth and then into your lungs.

I think the subtank or lemo would be a bit too much of a jump from a T3, but I'm biased since I'm not gone on those tanks. A nautilius or GS air would be ideal for you I think.

Ok,here is my twopence worth,I bought this set-up here http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/evicvt.htm & I was amazed,this is my first temperature control mod,I have only been using it for nearly a week using the clearo that comes with it & using the Nickel coil,what a vape,I'm used to 6 or 7 second drags to get the flavour & the hit,this new mod set at 550 degrees F,60w power & using a 0.22 ohm coil,unbelievable vape with loads of clouds & taste is top notch,I now take 1 or 2 second drags using 6mg Nut juice along with other flavours I tried,temperature control is the future.

I would also agree with the other suggestions as well because I use all that was mentioned in the other posts above.

Interesting. Yeah I'd like the more traditional - mouth - take a pull - then inhale. Rather than any device that would be straight to lungs like a bong.

Ah come on, straight from eGo twists and a T3 to a 60 Watt mod with temperature control? There's a few steps missing there, that yoke has more functions than a Japanese toilet :pac:.

Looks like I'm going with the istick and I'm putting a GS Air or Nautilus on top.

Looking forward to some hassle free vaping.

Only concern - I don't want a 'straight to lungs' vape. I want something more traditional. Which of the two tanks that I've mentioned are less bong like ?

I don't see much difference between an istick & a TC mod,it just has an up to date menu,anything an istick can do a VT can do better with extra's,I have tried a T3s,iclear 30,30s,GS Air,Nautilus & doing mouth to lung with all these clearo's & the menu system using watts only is easier to use than the istick & that is just a small part of this mod,TC can come later to the user,it's there if you want it,vaping hardware moves extremely fast in our World,years don't come into it,everything is obsolete within a few weeks now,so why not pay a little extra & have your hands on a tool which will match any device in the future & I'm talking about all good TC mods.

Both are designed for mouth to lung. The GS Air can be vaped at a higher temp than the mini Nautilus (up to 20w compared to up to 14w).

The main difference for me would be the coils in the GS. They are fantastic imo.

I'm confused as a mo of now.

Was going to buy the istick50 and GS air today but now I'm thinking of going to the next stage and buying the Joyetech evic VT.

I'd go with the evic but the fact it has two different atomisers is confusing me.

Need to do a few more days research I think.

Am i right in thinking there is no point going with the istick50 if the GS air tank only handles 20 watts ?

The istick 50 will handle all Kanthal built coils,I can here you say,what the fukc is Kanthal,there are different types of wire to make a coil,the most popular wires are Kanthal which works well with Power(watts) only(like all the isticks) and the Evic-VT.

The next wire is called Nickel,a very low resistance wire & works only with mods that have Temperature Control(TC),like the Evic-VT.

The next wire is called Titanium,a low resistance wire but not as low as Nickel & it will only work with mods that have Temperature Control(TC),like the Evic-VT.

You are asking about the two coils that come with the Evic-VT,one is Nickel & the other is Titanium.The Evic-VT is the only TC mod that can handle Titanium but the most used TC wire is Nickel,Nickel will work with all TC mods,so I tend to build coils with Nickel wire to work on all my TC mods.

The Evic-VT will work with all the coils mentioned above,the biggest reason that I use a TC mod is that it will never burn your coil or wick & will never give you a dry hit using Nickel/Titanium with temperature (especially when using an rda or an rta) The other reasons is that it can do everything that other mods can do,an all in one device with a great battery life as well.It also comes with the Ego Mega One Clearo,that on it's own is worth €30,so the Evic is only €50 to €60,great deal I thought.

There is a point,the istick 50 not only works with the GS Air (up to 20w) but other devices like RDA's (dripping) that need 30,40 or 50w to run it properly & other clearo's like a Subtank mini that needs up to 35w to run it.
So the point is,the istick 50 will work with anything that has Kanthal coils.

The first nautilus coil was a BDC (bottom dual coil/schit) & then Aspire brought out the BVC (bottom vertical coil/excellent) that's the one I have linked above.

This other BVC coil is not for the Nautilus,it's for other BDC Clearo's...

If you decide on the istick 50,I would recommend a silicone sleeve,the istick can be a bit slippery if you have sweaty hands or arthritis like me,they are great when you are out & about...

Devastated I've waited this long. I just didn't know there had been progress. I'll be glad to see the back of the T3's but I suppose without them I'd still be smoking.

Progress is moving very fast these days,we need to think ahead on what we buy.
