Loads of Fog mentioned in the Met Eireann forecasts, yet looking at the TAF's for all airport there is nothing mentioned.

There's been some plane that's been doing fly bys over the house for past half hour!

I live in clonee so I'm over the flight path out of Dublin airport but on FR nothing is showing up on the vicinity 😳

    That's ridiculous.
    At 3am?

Yea it was too frequent at that hour for it to be just usual planes taking off and as I said nothing on FR for miles so was either a late night test or someone was taking a plane out for a midnight joyride ha

BAW68WG/BA828 just broke off the approach to EIDW (just East of the M1) and is now repositioning for a second approach.

Anyone know what the reason for this is?

A British airways plane did the same yesterday, I watched it. Must be just changing runways, but BA twice in a row.. wow

If it's changing runways, then surely it wouldn't be approaching the same runway?

I'd assume they abandoned the approach due to something on the runway/altitude too high/no landing clearance by atc/speed too fast/.

Agreed. EIN69X is currently on approach to 28 so it would appear that 28 is still active. Wind is currently from 250 at 11kts so 28 makes sense.

I wasn't listening to the feed at the time but I'm in Swords and I heard it overhead and thought it unusual to be so close.

I'll have a listen to the archived feed at lunch time and see if it sheds any light.

EI-ING infringing on the departure path for runway 28, traffic lined up on 28 at the time couldn't be released and so the BA had to go around.

Everyone joining the hold has 3 round of hold, due to the medical emergency which is now on the ground.

You won't hold because you are early, unless you are a tax dodging multi millionaire and need to land after midnight.

Not a go around :( sorry.
A go around is a missed approach, when a pilot doesn't land and instead increases altitude.
