I see the evening Boston flight picked up a five hour delay after the A330 coming back from Faro diverted into Lisbon earlier.

I believe they diverted into lisbon to pick up pax for the scheduled EI491 as the original aircraft went tech.

This wasn't the usual medical emergency - it was a technical issue. ETA for departure from LGW onwards to Majorca is now 00:30.

When searching for holidays this year, I found Tunisia dirt cheap each time, often coming in at €300pp Inc flights, bags, transfers, and good accomidation.

Off topic, but do you ever think how they can manage that price? Almost all the hotels in Tunisia are French owned. Salaries are v low. The unfortunate
events of Friday are motivated by frustration, incited by Isis. I have worked there and it is a very difficult situation, there are a lot of well educated people who cannot get a job.
    Just for info.

Eh .... Strange question but how would anyone know or does anybody here know what plane Taylor Swift is coming in on today?

I'd put my money on N898TS, Falcon 900B. No idea if it's blocked

Blocked on FR24 but last movement was on the 25th, landing at Luton around 01:00. This is it hopping from Manchester to Luton:

Whack on a filter for Aircraft 'BLOCKED' and you should be sorted. When is it due in?

She's always here, bugging me for a date  No seriously it's probably LTN - when it had a bomb scare that was the only flight allowed out

Why would it overfly several airports ?

Depends on the 7700. Fuel load - weight - many planes can't dump fuel and have to burn it off, so have to fly longer to lower its weight to land safely.

Could be a burning smell for example - after performing a full check list, it could be down to an electronic fault.
Either way, too risky to continue, but not critical enough to land asap.

Also, the pilots could know what the problem is and would fly back to the original airport where they have services, engineers and parts to replace the fault as soon as possible.

We see it as a travel service, airlines see it as a money-making business...

Just saw an EI A320 break off an approach for 28 on my way home there. Garda helicopter in the area again or something?

An EI A320 is positioning to SNN as EI990. Training? Paint?

Looks like a driving lesson, lots of go arounds, touch and go's

Actually its coming down stopping and taking off again, making use of the length of the runway

Is it going back to DUB now? Interesting route, not even touching down, and on a Sunday...

    Cadet training flight. :)

2 x EI A320's just departed LGW for DUB within 8 minutes of each other. The first one is 2+ hours late and the following one is 4+ hours late. Wonder what happened there?

Tks. Not by any means the first time that's happened at LGW. Must have no standby power.
