Really good quote frostyjacks..... the problem is ...it's a movie quote..

Judgement is what you need to make sense of the world you live in and what it means to you.

The reality is that judgement if left out of the equation will result in all humanity equalling zero.

Hitler had legions of people who left judgement out...so did Stalin...and Mao...and Pol Pot...and.....the list is as long as the millions who suffered because of those who refused to use their better judgement to take a stand before it was to late...

So how do we deal with this crowd? They're stronger than us. They will happily kill innocent men, women and children as they're lying on a beach sunbathing. They'll put a man in a cage and burn him alive. Their depravity knows no bounds.

    What a terrible tragedy.

Poor lrish lady killed while on holiday.
She was a child of Ireland whilst the whole country is united in grief.

Couldn't Tunisia have prevented this? If their politics and religion had not been badly constructed and slightly off balance then this awful tragedy would not have happened.

No disrespect meant by this post, just pointing out how last weeks sentiments may have been over the top.

Yeah I'm sure you mean no disrespect. Nicely chosen words. Pathetic agenda driven post.

Sick of these ***** to the point that I would support conscription. Islam at large needs to be sent six feet south. Killing people as a punishment for being tolerant and democratic. There should be no due process, no trial, no rehabilitation for these horrible dirt bags, straight to the shower with them.

Tunisias increased Security prevented this 28 deaths from being in the hundreds. I think they should be applauded. On sky news today the eye witnesses were commenting on how much security they have seen around, military, police, police on horseback etc.

You can't stop a terrorist attack without very good intelligence. These gunmen were dressed like tourists when they just got up and shot aload of people.

The country has been in chaos since the Arab spring uprising.I was there about 15 years ago and felt very safe walking around.
They had a dictatorship which though corrupt, kept things stable.
He was ousted and like Iraq chaos followed.

On the contrary, it was because Tunisia is becoming increasingly secular and stable and a destination for foreign tourists that it angered IS so much.

for a country that becoming so secular and stable Tunisia supplies ISIS with a lot of fighters, the highest % in the arab world I think

Wasn't the Arab spring meant to be a good thing? Seems like they've opened Pandora's box over there.

Highest % my arse. What about where its bloody based? Syria? Libya? There is no ISIS base in Tunisia, which ****s in the face of the supposed "fact" that most of the ISIS fighters come from there. Even ISIS can tell that if they opened a base in Tunisia, if the people there were so willing to join that they would get a fat larger army.

Making up these figures are a horrible trait and it leads to incredible misinformation.

I understood that the Arab Spring had generally beem a good thing for Tunisia. In fact it is probably because of this that IS is now targeting the country. They want to destabilise the Middle East and North Africa (not that they have to try terribly hard in many parts of it) so they can then radicalise the disenfranchised as well as start a sectarian s***storm. Hence the attack in Kuwait today.

I'm not making anything up, its a fact, they supply the highest number of fighters per capita

Tunisia is the Arab Spring's success story, the one country that's turned into a stable democracy after replacing its leader in a wave of popular protests. But it's also the world's single biggest exporter of violent jihadists.

An Irish couple are feared to have been killed in yesterday's attacks. At least 8 British citizens are known to have been killed so far, with the number expected to rise significantly. A well known online fashion blogger is also amongst the dead:

I read another piece which suggested the response by the security services was quite slow , serious problems in muslims countries with the army and police being infiltrated by ISIS sympathisers

happens in Pakistan all the time with al qaeeda

Certainly the case. The reason is that most of the opposition movements in the Middle East and North Africa are either ISIS or al Qaeda. The likes of Saddam, Gaddafi and Mubarak kept these in their place.

ISIS/ISIL and al Qaeda are the most ugliest, negative, dangerous fascist religious entities ever. They are much worse than Hitler, the Khmer Rouge and Stalin combined. To give some examples of what is punished and rewarded in such places:

-if one is drinking a glass of wine, chances are they will be killed YET it is ok to take drugs and then go out and shoot innocent people.
-if one watches the world cup, they will be shot YET bomb making and planting is encouraged as a hobby.
-it is illegal for women to drive a car YET not illegal for a man to fly a plane full of passengers into a building full of people.
-a dress code is enforced on women and men YET any woman or man can dress as they like if they are on a mission to kill people.

These are just some examples of the sick ethos of these evil fascists. As per usual, local rivalries and the like mean that the evil organisations of al Qaeda and ISIS/ISIL are considered useful for some countries to ditch other enemies. Israel tolerate them as they hate Hamas, Turkey do because they hate the Kurds, Saudi Arabia do because they hate Iran, and the US do not really seem to care that much (unless they attack the US itself).

A brutal attack whose sole point is to kill and cause terror. Sickening, for the impact on the victims, their families, and the many Tunisians whose livelihoods depend on the tourist industry.

What did Hitler do for a legitimate reason?

These people are a small portion of the Islamic religion. You want to kill them all?

Tunisia is not well protected, tourists are not safe in these settings too violent. If tourists are not safe than no reason for them to be jeopardising their lives going to these places. Same happened to Egypt and the local economies suffered.

Was it not Netanyahu who was encouraging Europeans to travel to the Middle East. Maybe so as to be well protected by Israeli's fully functioning defence systems that all the other Arab states lack. Good luck to Israel but no so good for the Muslims under threat from the marauders.

This form of 'Islam' is horrible and belongs in the dark ages. Blind hatred is what ISIS, al Qaeda and ALL their offshoots stand for. It is not Islam, it is not religion, it is not politics, it is not ever war. ISIS, al Qaeda and similar groups have not one redeeming feature whatsoever. It is mass murder and is at the level of an organisational serial killer pure and simple.

How to deal with them? Capture as many alive as possible and then shout at them, hit them, torture them, starve them, etc. until they TALK. Ask these lowlives about the even worse lowlives they are working for and the even worse lowlives who sponsor them. Then, take them out one by one.

Unfortunately, the head honchos are living under diplomatic immunity in fascist controlled Saudi Arabia, so it is only the lowest in the pecking order of fascist sbags that are brought to justice. Then, they are killed. Bin Laden should have been captured alive and interrogated. But again, he would name the world's number one sponsor of 'jihadist' terrorism and the world's largest and most advanced oil producer, Saudi Arabia.

Until the world finds another source of oil to replace Saudi Arabia, the source of extremist fascist 'Islamic' terrorism and states will still be in place to keep producing one vile fascist group after another. Saudi Arabia know the world depends on its oil, knows that it can sponsor terrorism and will not be attacked and therefore acts any way it likes.

The more secular and stable Tunisia got, the more the jihadists wanted to tear it down. Huge numbers of young Tunisian jihadists cut their teeth with ISIS.

Now when they come home for R+R..
It sickens these young Tunisians to see happy westerners enjoying their country, nice hotels, nice beaches and so on..
What these jihadists really want is a stone age type existence, with no schools, music, museums, and only one book for all to read.

There will come a time when "the west" will have to deal with jihadists, either by our own choice, or because something big happened and we had to..

Perfect post. I appreciate that not every single one of then is an evil woman hating scumbag with a decapitation fetish. Muslims at large concern me though with their general refusal to condemn this type of carry on. Take that mongo that runs the place in clonskeagh with his "this is what you get" shoulder shrugging in response to the Charlie hebdo attacks - this is a bloke that ****es on at every opportunity about islam being a peaceful and beautiful thing. anyone turning up to his sermons every day/week/rammadan needs to take a long, hard look at themselves.
