Claims from a person in Tunisia that people lying on their sunbeds were shot, - speculation as it is not confirmed.
The person sounds like a machine gun was used.

Man seen on beach with assault rifle according to report. Tourists trapped in hotels. Maybe Mods could move this into new thread seems unrelated to French attack.

Same crowd responsible for both, they should have their own sticky at this stage.

I'm surprised Tunisia has any tourism industry at all given how troubled the region is.

It's amazing the number of people who don't realise that large swathes of Africa and the Middle East are burning as we speak.

RTE news reporting at least 7 dead.

    Any Irish among the casualties?

Just saw pic on Twitter of man lying dead on the beach, sun beds flung around.

Jeez, I was lying on a beach relaxing less than two weeks ago. Not in Tunisia, it's seriously cheap to go there but always had a niggling feeling about booking it.

I hope not but I suppose it could be anyone. All tourists according to reports could be as many as twelve dead and one gunman dead thus far.

Explosion report could have been gunshot now according guy on sky news.

I don't think Europe/Nato ...etc can ignore this ISIS situation for much longer. This is beginning.

These Scumbags need to be blown to bits by the rest of the world.

I don't want to hear about big bad America and how they are as bad as anyone. We need the US, like it or not. It's getting very close to home now ( France ).

If something happens in London and Irish are killed we will be pleading with the UK and US to stop these ****ers. These animals don't understand reason or rational talks. You have to meet fire with fire at some stage and pick a side.
And when it comes these scum and America, I know who's side I'm on.

    Go team America

What we need are tighter border controls and to stop getting involved in the affairs of the middle east. Then we target the extremists who are already here and remove/kill them. Why would we go to war with these fools in their back yard if it's never worked before?

Easily said from the comfort of your armchair while they murder innocent people. And when it's in France it's no longer a middle east contained issue

    What's with calling them Apes?

Exactly. Apes don't engage in mass murder for political reasons.
