How to defeat Terrorists.

I have been strongly anti-Israel for a long time, *but* I'm beginning to wonder that one of their policies may be right.

How can we respond to those who perpetrate these cowardly attacks?

These People , and I use the term loosely, commit barbaric acts; beheadings, racial and religious attacks, tourists.. innocents all.
The murderers/ jihadis/ psychopaths who can, with a clear mind, decide to visit dreadful injury and death on innocent people must be brought to justice.

HOW ?
How do you punish someone who has decided that death is a glorious coda to their lives? That they will float off to a heavenly paradise for their reward?

A simple solution, which may focus the minds of these erstwhile "followers of God" before they decide to attack;

Simply advise ( politely ) that in the event of them committing such an atrocity, that their Families will suffer. Made Homeless, deported, charged with being accessories to the crime.

The Israelis demolish the homes of suicide bombers.

Perhaps it might cause these "brave fighters" to reconsider their planned actions.

Hit them where it hurts.

This pre-supposes that your average jihadi is a functioning well balanced insightful human being and that they'd give a fvck about their family, rather than regarding same as a necessary sacrifice in the eternal struggle to establish a caliphate.

The ones who would care are not the problem, beyond being fellow travellers and sneaking regarders.

We are talking about the wider western world here. As far as im aware Islamist terrorists haven't carried out any attacks in Ireland as of yet. Grow up :pac: any older and ill be in a box lad.

The priority should be to remove the threat to innocent people regardless of what they believe.

Did it work? I don't really keep up with these kinds of things. Is that what happened? Israel started demolishing the homes of suicide bombers and people stopped suicide bombing?

Collective punishment is a breach of international law and the Geneva Convention. But hey, they're handy enough with the oul breaches of human rights and the brutalisation of innocent civilians. Such stone age tactics merely generate hate & violence and are completely counterproductive. Sometimes terrorists groups can't be reasoned with, but state terror inflicted upon the innocent is never the way to go.

For a lot of these nutters its not even about that. Al-Qaeda even think ISIS and these new crazies have gone too far, not to say Al-Qaeda are in anyway sane but its not about invading countries. According to the scriptures for these people Islam has to be spread to the entire world, that's the goal, anyone who is not Muslim is an infidal and deserves to die. That is nothing to do with invading someones country, yet this is their logic.

They can't be reasoned with, they need to be wiped out.

Pretty much - 238 fatalities by suicide bombings in 2002. 1 fatality in 2008. You might argue with the methods, but they get results.

Not wishing to go round in circles but why even think about what concerns them. They are a threat to the West so Western Forces need to remove them. ISIS are evil bastards that need to be dealt with in a decisive way
