Dmitri Payet has joined West Ham it appears. Just under eleven million pounds. Will have a medical on Friday. Most assists in Ligue 1 last season.

Ayew to Swansea, Thauvin to go soon, as is Imbula to Inter maybe, Gignac is gone to Mexico (for the food & Women) & you have a Marseille looking depleted.
Sad to see players leave there for teams like Swansea or West Ham missing out on a Champions League spot was huge. Julien Lauren kept saying that on EFS he wasn't lying

You're making yourself look biased with a post like that. I'd be surprised if even Shaw himself rates himself more highly than Clyne.

lol Clyne isn't near the level of Shaw. Don't be talking about people being biased and then make a ridiculous statement like that. Clyne had a completely average season last year. He was good for about 2 months and then he dropped off big time. The year before he was fairly decent but nothing special and wasn't nearly as effective as Shaw.

Shaw had an injury filled season last year but the year before he was excellent.

I don't know why I'm even bothering arguing with you because it's fairly obvious that you have watched very little of either player. There is no way you could have watched those two players over the past 2 years and drawn that conclusion.

Clyne is really somewhere in the midde. He's not as good as some people are saying and not as bad as some other people are saying.

In the 13/14 season he had started to lose his place to Calum Chambers before he was sold in the summer but had a good season last season .

Clyne has been better than shaw over the past 2 seasons combined.

You mean, I'm not the idiot that glued thinks I am and actually watch pretty much every televised Premier League game there is for FF/gambling purposes? Thank f*ck for that.

What kind of intellectual wizard can conclude that a 19 year old who only played 16 games due to injuries (Shaw) was inferior to a 24 year old who played 35 (Clyne). Someone bust out the Nobel Prize, this is groundbreaking ****. Due to Shaws injuries last year it wouldnt be hard to find FB's who had a better season.

Using that crap you could say Ulloa is a far better player than Sturridge. If you are fit for an entire season its not hard to look better than someone injured for most of the season.

No its another childish, tired Man Utd vs. Liverpool argument that seem to creep up on every thread.
This guy is the 6th best right back in the league based on my observation or he's better than Shaw...riveting stuff alright :rolleyes:

Isnt one a RB and the other a LB?

Almost like saying our GK is better than your winger.

In terms of the league i would reckon the Zabeleta, Ivanovic are better RB's perhaps Azpillixueta as well. Then i think you have the likes of Coleman, Clyne, Debuchy who are at a similar enough level after that. Valencia isnt a RB rather a winger being played out of position so i dont think he can come into the conversation

Ridiculous comparison. Full backs do the same job except on different sides. Nothing like comparing keepers to wingers.

    Nice selective point there

Picking two seasons when one of the players played almost every game and the other was injured for most of one

Good, Bad or Ugly Nat Clyne is now a Liverpool player

Southampton have accepted improved offer from Liverpool for @Nathaniel_Clyne, worth up to £12.5m, @TonyBarretTimes reports. Link to follow

Clyne's a good signing for Liverpool. Nothing ground shaking, but a better option than they've had at rb for a while.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Bayern have apparently signed the Brazilian International Douglas Costa for 35 mil. Euro from Shaktar. To be formally announced later today.

To be fair, we were discussing Clyne merely on his own merits as a RB before Wayne Rooney came in and did his usual make everything a United v Liverpool thing ****e regarding a player who doesn't even play in the same position.

35 million for Douglas Costa seems all kinds of crazy. Maybe Pep sees something I don't.

Clyne is a good player but Southampton are the winners again. They have already signed a better, younger player as his replacement for half the price.

Cédric Soares is a quality full back.

Soares has the potential to be better certainly but i wouldnt agree that he is better than Clyne at present tbh. If he fulfils his potential then Soton are on a winner whereas Liverpool should be fairly certain of Clyne's level at this point which is why he costs more
