Ronaldinho's agent is in Japan meeting with the director of JFL side FC Osaka. They play in the 3rd tier.

Nothing in English but the article is here - http://soccernow.jp/now-editorial-desk/2015/0624/190227/

looks like Witsel to Milan is a done deal and will be announced later today.

Both Milan teams upping their game considerably it's nice to see some talent going there, hopefully Ibra will be next

What do people make of Witsel?
I remember thinking he was very good in the CL a few years back but I haven't be impressed with him for Belgium and I haven't seen much of him with Zenith.

Good signing or would money be better spent elsewhere?

If Milan play him in an attacking role they'll get the best out of him, not this sitting and moving the ball around role, he's better than that.

Odds are he'll play in a midfield 3 with Montolivo and De Jong (who is apparently about to sign a new 3 year contract).

So I'd imagine he'd be the more advanced of the 3.

From browsing the 'Pool Superthread Tony Barrett knows absolutely f*ck all anymore and has no sources in the club so take that with a smidge of salt

Surely Southampton will want more than that given what other players are going for. I mean, maybe that is what he is worth, but surely Southampton will want more than that. He is a very good RB and whoever gets him will be doing well.

I'd draw the line at Clyne being a good player, he's not anything special but he does the job. 11 million is a no brainer, cheap considering he's English. You could get most of that back selling him to a midtable club, although Liverpool might not want to strengthen their rivals :pac:

Doesn't he only have 1 year left on his contract? Hence the lower than expected price.

    That would explain it alright.

Is there a 2nd rightback in the Premier League better than him after Zabaleta, Azpilicueta probably, but he doesn't actually play there.

One of the best RB's in the league. Another great signing for us. Firmino,Clyne & Milner 3 big improvements to our first 11.

Maybe. Not on recent form, but maybe.

Not on his Irish form but certainly on his Everton form.

Anyway Clyde would be a good signing for Liverpool, you'd have to wonder why none of the top 4 are after him. £12 mill for a young English international is good business

Clyne turned down Man Utd 3 years ago. He is very keen to join Liverpool according to The Echo. Proably because he would be more sure of a first 11 place.

I would say Clyne had a better season last season than Coleman. I think United should be after Clyne. I don't think RB is an area that needs improvement for City, Chelsea or Arsenal. They've good players in those position and Clyne isn't enough better than Ivanovic (or necessarily at all) or Bellerin to warrant switching things up IMO.

If we were to buy him, he'd play. We seriously need a right back seeing as LVG doesn't seem to rate Rafael.

We'll be buying a starting RB this summer anyway, so if we're not in for Clyne, we must be going foreign, because Clyne is the best available in the PL imo.

Don't be silly, he's in the top 10, one of the best is a massive stretch

Liverpool will be a team of shortasses next season at the rate they're going.

Maybe he's trying to recreate the Barcelona model?!!

Clyne is top 6 I'd reckon.

Zabaleta, Ivanovic, Coleman, Debuchy, Azpilicueta, Clyne.

Lots of those on the list had worse seasons than Clyne last year. Only Azpilicueta was better imo.

Sagna on form, Walker maybe too is at least as good and I've heard Clyne is having trouble displacing him in the England team.

I like Janmaat too, looks like he could be in a 5th-8th place team

Di Maria looked like a poor mans Joe Cole at times last season and starred in a World Cup and champions league campaign 12 months before
