And its all San Andreas' fault for being successful.
Will the sins of that awful movie never stop propagating?

People probably all went to it thinking it had something to do with GTA.

It will probably be pants, but in fairness who ever thought they would see a film version of Rampage! What a time we live in!

People never thought we'd see a faithful onscreen version of Super Mario Bros.
    And they were right...

When I was younger and stupid(er) I remember telling some one that the Super Mario Bros movie was as good as Jurassic Park. He then suggested his family go see it and the next day gave me a dead arm because it was terrible. I probably got off lightly.

And so they made you mod of the games forum as a reminder of just how consistently misinformed people can be, yet so certain that they are right regardless, as punishment.
    It all makes sense now.

You know Johnny U is probably never going to speak to you again?
I wonder what he did to warrant the same mod job?

I think I was too old when Jurassic Park came out... didn't enjoy it at all. That said I'm not a fan of Terminator 2 either. Most 90s films from that time period disappointed me.

I had read the Jurassic Park novel when it was published, the movie was magnificent but a slight let down on the darker stuff in the book.
Oddly, I enjoyed the sequel movie more, The Lost World, and had read that book well before the movie came out too.
The cool thing about both books is that they are not novelisations of the films, the films are rather adaptations of the books, and The Lost World is a sequel to the book, not the movie, so there is a lot that is different as a result of the darker nature of the original when compared to the eventual big screen followup.
For example, I really enjoyed the whole King Kong on the west coast thing they did with the T-Rex in the final act of The Lost World but it was entirely a construct for the film, the book ended on the island.

It's basically Westworld with Dinosaurs instead of cowboys... I prefer Westworld!

There's a great collection of game related books and magazines available in this Storybundle:

    Definitely worth checking out!

Might as well admit it...I don't think that Jurassic Park is all that great of a movie. Oh, it's a fun ride and all and Spielberg would most certainly be better than what most other directors at the time would be capable of, but as a movie...it's just merely decent, I feel.

Futureworld, unwanted sequel, a pale reheat of the original.
Probably served as inspiration for Jurassic Park III!

While we're admitting films we love/hate, I'm just gonna come out and say it: I freakin love Waterworld!

speaking of movie people love/hate, I have The Amazing Spiderman recorded on my Sky box.

Go in with very low expectations. Even ASM won't exceed them.

Speaking of superhero movies, I watched Batman and Robin recently...it was much better than when I first saw it and compared to other bad superhero movies (the previous poster's one in question for example), it's a tad bit better than them.

I see they are doing an "early years" Spiderman, i wouldnt have high hopes for that. Thought he got bit when he was older , eddie shrugs.

I was lucky enough to see it on release on the big screen.
An unfairly maligned movie that, I really enjoyed it and every penny was up there on screen, a tribute to the practical special effect craft as well.

Was watching Tom Hanks in Big earlier.

Just at the end, (no spoilers)
Poor outrun cab open to the elements.

So, bought an item on Ebay from China - was really really cheap.
Week later got a message saying the product was return to them by their shipping company due to strict customs in my country and offered a refund ? Ok, so called bullcrap on this and told them as much and to send refund.
So now another message saying if I agree not to leave -ve feedback then the refund will be processed - what a bunch of dicks. I think -ve feedback is a must now :)

Love the way some sellers feel they can dictate what feedback gets left for them. While Paypal has its flaws, the buyer protection makes dealing with these numpties so much less painful. I don't even bother disputing through ebay these days. Send me the product I paid for or it's a paypal dispute, simple as :)

I would agree not to leave the negative feedback, wait for the refund, and then leave a neg.

Ah here, another avatar change?! You must be getting paid commission or something. :pac:

Is that a Stargate reference or something else?

    Master of the Universe

What you don't see in that photo is him standing behind blast doors in a hazmat suit :pac:

Ah I guess we all want to keep safe..that's a bit much alright. How would you even manoeuvre the probe on the end of a stick? Probably end up distracting you in some other way.

At some point he's going to have to reach in there and pick up the anode cap anyway...
