Answered a phone call that went on for 45 mins just as my take away arrived. Now have soggy cold chips.

Always best to never answer a phone call in the presence of food.

Ripped jeans! So hard to find a pair of jeans in the shops that don't have ripped knees in them. Decided to take the plunge last week and bought a pair. Putting them on this morning I put my foot through the knee hole instead of the foot hole and now they're ripped the whole way down :(maybe I could start a new trend?

Sorry anna, I laughed, because that was my exact thought, as I was reading your post :D that you could start a new trend.

Errands ? We used to "go and get a few messages"!:p

The "High St" or "High St stores" are phrases which came from the UK I think but now seems to be used here.

There has been a high street in Sligo since at least the early 1800's...so it came over here a long long time ago!

is washing you hair with shower gel a bad thing?

I may not be a Bee Gee or model for L'oreal, but I do it....:)

I once sprayed flykiller under my arms.

I brushed my teeth once with moisturiser. The tubes were similar, and I took the wrong one out of my toilet bag. It was a fragrance free cream, so at least it was tasteless. :o
It was a WTF moment though.

I always thought calling them "messages" was nonsense. At least "errands" isn't a word that already had a meaning and just got crammed into a new one where it wasn't needed.

As for words coming over from the UK I agree. In fact it seems like an entire language worth of them sometimes.

Anyway, it's not worth getting worked up over. It is what it is and trying to change things would be a fool's message.

I can't stomach the smell of BBQ smoke. It used to be just one neighbour who had one. They BBQ a lot , from Spring onwards. But now two more neighbours got them and there's 3 of them, all next to each other in the terrace BBQing and the smoke blows into our back garden. I had to close our back door(not a euphemism) earlier when I was cooking. Bloody awful smell and I couldn't put any washing out.

I am 12,561 days old and I still can't open a Capri Sun properly!

It's not the same when you clip the corner and pour it into a glass....what's the point like!

I either stick the straw in and it goes through the other side or I get it in right and all the juice squirts out through the straw..you cant win ffs

The best way to do it is squeeze the Capri Sun so it bulges at the top, push the straw in with your thumb over the top of it to avoid being squirted. It took me many years to realise this ;)

People who make nasty comments about how you live your life.

When I start to comment on your way of living then you can have permission to discuss mine but not until then. And just because you are doing all the right things doesn't make you a good person, especially if you act like a b****.

    Sorry just had to rant.

    1.
People on Aer Lingus flights with their boarding cards on their phone, and the 5 minutes it takes them to get past ticket check because the screen keeps switching from landscape to portrait mode, and the barcode is too small, and the Aer Lingus guy checking tickets is 'lost with all this technology!!'

They do give out free boarding cards you know?? Nobody cares that you have an iPhone!!

    2.
The fact that my 6:30am flight to Manchester this morning (which is usually fairly quiet), seems to be full to the gills with families jetting off somewhere fancy (via Manchester!!), we're even flying on an A321 today which I've never flown to Manchester on!! That's how busy it is!!!

    3.
The fact I have to fly to England today, which I absolutely couldn't be aršëd with!!

    4.
The fact that my return flight today is the later flight and not the usual one I get in the afternoon that's gets me back to my house at 5pm.
