Wilko Johnson announced today that he is now cancer free after an 11 hr operation to remove a 3kg tumour back in April.
What an incredible story this has been, can't wait to see him in concert again.

Great news. Pity poor old Lee Brilleaux (Canvey island) isn't still around. What a great R&B band....

Jaysus was looking forward to watching him tonight and hadn't realised the dramatic changes to his circumstances over the last couple of months.

What an incredible story. Read the Parsons article tonight. Great to see him being able to perform so soon after such a huge operation.

You couldn't make it up really but what a fantastic surprise to see the new year out with.

He's back, and his first show is a charity gig in aid of the hospital in Cambridge where he had his operation.
Gig is on on March 6th, I might go if I can get a ticket.

Got Academy tickets this morn. Suspect it could be a good venue for him, better than Whelans last time. A large part of the gig is actually visual and thought the view was a bit restricted at Whelans. The higher stage in the Academy should suit better.
