    I'll go with Piedmont?

jmayo be fair, a church in Italy is not easy to find but neither is a statue in a South American, or indeed any, capital city :-P.

Not Piedmont but not far away.

    Hey I was only joking.
Look up some of my pics.

I will try Lombardy since I presume Tuscany was out ?

Ah ok, I understand now. It is a little obscure I agree though but it is my favourite place (the place, not the church lol) in the whole world so I thought I'd start with it. Yes, its in Lombardy.

Its in the province of Bergamo, but its not the city itself. To win you need the name of the square and the comune its in though. As its obscure, I will provide clues though. If you look up the football manager Claudio Foscarini, he managed the team there and its also one stop out of Bergamo on one of the railway lines. With that information it should be fairly easy to find out. Once you have the comune, the square is obvious.

    Cittadella?

Oooops I was going off Foscarini's Italian Wikipedia page sorry (I speak Italian and follow Italian football so I naturally go there to look for information on calcio italiano). If you look at these two links...

Look at his clubs under carriera da allenatore managerial career.
    https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claudio_Foscarini

Then look at this and find the stations one stop outside Bergamo...

...And it should be fairly obvious...

Yep, well done, from Piazza Libertá. The place where I'll live if I ever win Euromillions.

Kinda get half a feeling you've seen it before for some reasons.

    Over to you.

Got a bit of a hint HERE ;);):)

Someone fire away, I can never be sure I'll be around to check answers due to work, but I enjoy the investigative (guessing) part :)

I've been in N. Italy before, but not here, if I make it back I'll deffo. keep it in mind

In the great scheme of things, Stezzano itself is not much to write home about, and its more for personal reasons that I love it so much. Well done on being perceptive with the other clue though. But sssshhhhh, I think its a decent trick question - they immediately thought I was talking about Inter.

I should add though, Bergamo itself is spectacular, particularly cittá alta.

France possibly. As I said, I am sure I've seen this place before but for the life of me I can't remember where or when so I'll just start to name off countries I've been to lol.

Argh... now I know I've seen it, but I still can't think where. I'm going to try with it being in the Vendee.

Fred, I know I can't talk but there isn't much to go on.

As Very Borded said it looks familiar, but that is because it looks a little non descript.

I would guess Normandy - down in the south away from the D-Day battle stuff.

I don't think I ever came across a church that boring in Brittany, even in the boring villages.

    Is it in Nord-Pas-De-Calais ?

I am not allowed discuss …
