No he doesn't have any assets and really Bobby don't believe Phil three names or his wee lassie Angela when the talk guff about Ibrox

Just out of interest, is there anybody who has ever spoken negatively about The Mighty Gers that you consider credible? Seems like anybody who doesn't read from the script is worthy of mockery or derision. I've even seen ye pretend Spiers isn't a bluenose because he's been frank about the sectarianism at Ibrox.

DAVE KING has outlined his Rangers vision in a fascinating in-depth interview.

The Ibrox chairman sat for 30 minutes on Monday answering an array of questions on his plans for the club.

King revealed the latest on the club’s search for a new manager but insisted there may NOT be an appointment this week.

He told how the next boss will have LIMITLESS funds available for new players while branding the previous regime’s spending spree as a ‘waste of money.’

There's also an arrest warrant out for Lee McCullough over driving offences and failure to appear at court I think.

He's been 'failing to appear' for years now!

I know it's season ticket renewal time & King needs to give fans something to convince them to invest their hard earned money in but some of this is off the wall. Surely Rangers fans would prefer if he was talking about steadying the ship and building for the future within their means??
Asked what he would tell prospective managers enquiring about the limits of their budget, King said: ‘The limit is getting players.
‘There’s no upper limit. I can say that because we’re talking in a sensible environment where the guy knows what he’s doing.
‘He’s not going to go and sign Ronaldo. We all understand that. He’s doing it within a mandate where he knows what we are as a football team.
‘I’m saying there’s no limit if he comes along and says “I’ve got a guy here and I think I can get him and he’s going to cost x thousand pound a week, and he’s not in the budget but I think he’d make a difference to the club and he’d help us over the next couple of years.” I’d say take him.
King believes a rise on last season’s player wage bill – of around £6m - is inevitable. He does not, however, believe there will be a similar risk of grossly overspending on failure.
‘It’s not a worry for me because I’m involved in the process now,’ said King. ‘I’m in a position to influence that and make sure we go about it in the proper manner.
‘We need to make sure that while we are willing to spend the money, I use the word ‘invest’ deliberately. We are going to make an investment.
‘Just because it’s a negative cash flow doesn’t mean we are losing money. If we invest wisely in the right squad, do what we have to do this year and go forward with the nucleus of a strong team, that’s far preferable to shuffling along and doing the minimum to win the Championship then having to rebuild again for the Premiership.’

McCulloch, Black and Mohsni all out the door together. Is there a kickboxing gym in Govan?

Rangers* lose again. This time in court. Ashley wins a gagging order over 1)talking about meetings between SD and rangers* and 2) anything that was said in those meetings.

    Not that massive.

All it means is that Rangers can not disclose any confidential information about the contracts during tomorrow's GM.

Apparently there is a section in the Companies Act that can help in fighting this, but to do this by tomorrow is probably too late.

But what a surprise that this clause was signed right before King etc. were voted in.

£20,000 less cash in the bank, plus whatever the Rangers* solicitors cost.

You could have paid Ally for a week and a bit for that.

I think this backs up the thought the Ashley is no fool and will have his interests well and truely covered

There is an alternate reality going on with Rangers supporters groups and the club that somehow they are going to win against Ashley. Reverting to old club ways when refusing to pay their debts

Anyone who says he's a fool has no clue, the guy didn't become a billionaire by sheer luck.

But I still think there is some way that the club can prove that the previous board did not act in the best interest of the club with regards to contracts like this.

Could be a long few years before we get rid of him.

Like the way Duff & Phelps grossly undervalued Rangers assets & IP before flogging them to Charles Green?

If that doesnt doesnt get proved, neither will the rest of it unless they are thick enough to write their crimes down on paper

Cut out the childish use of the asterisk after Rangers please, and that goes for any other variations on the name designed to imply it is no longer the same club. This will be the only warning, any future use of these will result in cards.7

Edit: Don't reply to this post on thread, if you have an issue with this keep it to PM

Both articles say his father took him to games? One just said his dad was anti football because of what he witnesses as a police officer.

Eitherway 90% of clubs spin bull**** just before season ticket sales and renewals

Wonder how he'll handle the fish bowl that is Rangers. He'll find it different to Brentford, that's for sure!

If is going to be a culture shock but I am sure big Davie Weir has spoken to him in great detail about the club
I for one look forward to seeing what he brings to the table

Delighted with that, every Brentford fan they ask about him seems to have nothing but positive stuff to say.

You'll be glad to get big Davie Weir in. With Black and McCulloch leaving who'd be left to teach the youngsters how to throw an elbow??

I'm not a Brentford fan, but he seems like a very decent guy as well as excellent manager. He Was told he was getting replaced at Brentford when they were still in the automatic promotion places, and although they had a bit of a wobble, to make it to the playoffs was a huge achievement for him. He had every right to be angry with the chairman but was a complete and utter professional about it.

Not sure Rangers is a good move for him, time will tell but I would have thought he would have wanted a stable club to work at, and stable, realistic, chairman. Could be argued Rangers aren't close to having either yet. Wish him well though.

You were doing well up until your last paragraph mate. Let's see he was brought into stabilise the club and get promotion first and foremost. Well he obviously believes he can do this and the board feel he is the man for the job I know there is talk that he was not first choice but after promotion went awry things changed. I am sure DW will have told him all about this club and a log about King to which obviously satisfied him. As for the Chairman not being stable well all I will say in that is I don't know where that is coming from. Finally is there a risk involved in appointing W&W of course there is but there's risks involved whenever a new manager comes in.
What I am looking forward to is seeing new ideas implemented and a freshness about how we play he seems to have an attacking philosophy so that bodes well.

That is because you do the equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and shouting loudly whenever anybody explains.

No I just think you and your ilk tend to be blinkered the man at the moment will do for me. Now I know you are going to come back with something about me not listening again. And you would be right in this case as you fall into the catogary of Celtic fan that no matter who was in charge you would have a go. I am sure you are willing it to all go wrong and you would be in gloating if it did.
I will continue to make up my own mind about my club without the aid of your undoubted wisdom  if that's alright with you.

Of course I am willing it all to go wrong again, but I'm sure your IQ is up to the task of separating that from the objective facts of the matter. Does the fact that the very people you are dismissing are the only ones who told you the last time, and the time before that, grate with you? Understandable if so, but you should not express surprise that other people are aware of the risks surrounding King - regardless of whether they are neutral or not.

And as for gloating, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be allowed.

The risks surrounding King well put it this way I have said on herd more than once so read what I say. I do not trust King 100% along with loads of others no matter who was in charge they would not be trusted fully but until he breaks the rules or hurts the club he should be allowed to do his job. Now as a wee bit extra let's see where we are at Christmas then the end of the season. If you are right we will be in the **** before one of those times. If we are progressing for me it will move into the second year and I will still be watching King slowly.
But for now we have a new manager in place and I am looking forward to hearing what he says later today and what players come in over thd next few weeks.

I genuinely have no malice for Rangers, but it really isn't a stable set up imo, it's far from normal for a club to make it in the news for board room court cases or financial issues on a monthly (at least) basis. I don't see stability in any sense! Appreciate any fans loyalty to their club though, you see things differently to me, that's fair enough and I hope it pans out for you.
