Yeah, no idea what that is about. 48 now and married at 27. In my teens/twenties there was more of a pub/club scene and one night stands were low hanging fruit.

Had a few in my time, not in a while though.
But I have never had one with someone I met in a nightclub, I really hate those places and avoid them like the plague. Never had one while drunk or on drugs, either - I can't imagine I'd enjoy that.

I did in my late teens and twenties and they were fun for the most part. Often the chase/being chased was more fun than the act itself. They're not that great if you're genuinely looking for something deeper though and I sometimes left the following morning feeling more empty than I did initially. As long as you're in the right mindset, they're fun ime.

26, had one. Wasn't meant to be a ons but that is how it turned out. As I always thought, it isn't for me. Sex tends to get better the longer with the person and I just like to have feelings there. I can tell you now. I wouldn't bother having another one, just not the way I am wired

I've had several one night stands and loved all of them. I went through my slutty phase from about 30 to 32. I was single, making good money. Being decent looking and knowing how to make a girl laugh is important. Though on a couple of occasions the girl singled me out and made her intentions clear very early. There's no stigma to it anymore. If a girl wants a roll in the hay with some stranger she's free to do so and nobody is going to judge her...except jealous prudes. Women are more empowered now and don't have to explain themselves to anyone or "know their place". I'm all for it.

When it's that good, you want to see them again. One-night stands tend to be just one night for a reason. Not saying they can't be enjoyable in the moment, but overall they're just meh IMO.
For some reason they only seem to be good on holidays or with someone who is visiting from abroad, and you'd probably keep seeing them if they lived closer.
