First Mercedes AMG GT S will come to Dublin in few weeks. Hope to have some photos of it before it will be park at showroom. Price: €260.000 what's way to much imo.

Relatively cheap compared to the slr which was 550k here!

Carzone is suggesting a price of €185,570-€215,205.
    http://www.carzone.ie/new-cars/mercedes/AMG-GT/coupe
Which doesn't seem too bad when you consider the pricing of the S-Coupe

The AMG GT is one of the most bland looking sports cars, no doubt the one coming here will be finished in an exciting shade of silver grey.

"Hey, you know that blue Porsche of yours, how do feel about sticking a couple of Superman stickers on it for a kids charity gig?"

    Yeah, thanks for the sarcasm.

Someone made a wild and unsubstantiated guess that the owner would risk their expensive paint job on a cheap sticker/transfer for a charity gig.
It was nothing more than a wild guess on their part.

Step 1 : Superman sticker on car
    Step 2 : ?
    Step 3 : Donations

    Anyways, won't dwell on it.
More likely it's a car you can rent out for events/weddings etc.

There's a round limo licence sticker in the top right of the back window. Is it available for weddings I wonder?

It's looks to have Psv sticker or what ever it's called so it's like a limo or taxi I say

Probably insured for weddings and funerals. Brilliant legal loophole. Did it years ago.☺. System is there so use it.

2 door taxi:rolleyes:, I wonder has he taken the front passenger seat out like they do with the VW Beetle taxis in Mexico?:)

I thought that taxis could only be from a list of suitable cars?
I am interested in this funeral/wedding loophole if anyone wants to share

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,718 ✭✭✭Hal1

Get an offshore address or a rural address, or become a limo driver or funeral director for the chape tax.

There was also a time(good times) when taxis couldn't have a tow bar. That was when the carriage office was around. Now with the NCT doing the job it doesn't seem to matter. Taxis pulling caravans is the norm on the N11 every weekend. Some of them don't even take the begging board off the roof.
I'd say the challenger is a speciality wedding car. Don't really know but HUGE cudos to him:D

Aye that 'Limo' loophole is tempting and I know Ive looked into it once or twice for the father when it came to changing cars over the years. Best use of it was the time I parked up next to a 5.7L Audi S8 with the Lambo V10 and a tax disk for €95 hahaha

So what I can declare my car as a limo and then get 95e?
Also re the address off the mainland, I believe that the car is then not.allowed to be used within the country?

Yep, I know it was belonging to Walt Jr. but my main memory of the Challenger was Walt joyriding in it. :)
