The owner of that Tesla S 85 dropped to my place today.
I was surprised to actually discover a nice car. A lot of room. Very nice interior. The screen size still baffles me, but why not. It does its job.

Quite a few raptors and big pick ups around where I live, surprising because the fuel prices are high. Wealthier country I guess.

Is it a Dutch plate on the raptor?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,386 ✭✭✭shortys94

Netherlands, yes! Living here two years now and love the high end cars they have, especially the Teslas being everywhere, government bought a whole batch for taxis.

Other than that I do notice a lot of great cars around, big engines. Must start taking a few more for thread. The raptor is two doors down from me.

They never really did the big car small engine like over here, maybe that's why I don't think a 2I is a big engine

isnt it more expensive to buy / run a car in holland than here even ? they seem to be big into classics some very impressive classic dealers over there.
theres an interesting but suspect car dealer at eindhoven airport called target . ever visit ?

Here's some cars I've seen so far in Brazil. Nothing crazy but interesting to see some older cars that are no longer popular on Irish roads. Lots of Uno's everywhere, older Opels (Chevrolet) such as Omega, Ascona, Kadett. Corsas are everywhere in various guises and with various facelifts. Small pickups are popular as are 3 door estates (with builders, farmers etc.). Lot of cars (esp. Bigger ones) have both petrol and gas (LPG?), and I think all newer ones take ethanol or petrol. Ethanol is cheaper and I haven't noticed any difference.

    More pics to come probably.

Mostly phone pics as its easier and less obvious than a DSLR.

    YD9sj2l.jpg

    QdvWVkj.jpg

Lots of lowered cars around, usually awful little corsa's. This wasn't too bad.

First and last VW's are Brasilia's. The hatch in the middle is a Parati I think? The grey Fiat is a facelifted Uno.

Yea fuel and cars seemingly a lot more to run here from what I can see but again I think just because there's more money and they really look after the cars.

    Never been no!

I see a lot of big vans too, the big Chevy ones which must have at least four litre engines. The hospital I work at has two Chevy trucks as standard ambulances, huge engines, seems nonsenicle to me

Parked beside this on the ferry from France on Sunday. 08WW reg Lambourghini Murcialago. I didn't recognise the owner but obviously he didn't give a f@ck about where the car was registered as any sane person would probably have registered it in Dublin.

You could have just asked me!!! From the assumptive conclusions you have reached, am I to assume that I am not a sane person? :)

    Is this really yours?

As for the sane thing, most of the people I know who could afford a high end car like that wouldn't touch one not registered in Dublin, I ve even had bother selling normal cars to dubs because of them not being registered there, hence my assumption. In which case I was wrong to make assumptions.

Anyway on a side note, how did you manage to get the car onto the ferry? I usually end up catching the floor at least once or twice every trip and my car ain't anywhere as low as yours.

Steve, how does this compare to your previous super cars? Am I right in thinking this is one of the last manuals?
