Iberia short of fuel, will look to divert pretty soon i think.

    To Shannon?
Would be a new type of diversion.

Ryanair looking for Liverpool...very sharp from the pilot there, a few of them getting pissed off with the Runway change.

ei359 off to Belfast and 167 off to Shannon.

It's interesting how the IBERIA hasn't enough holding fuel even though the flight only seemed to be in the holding pattern for less than 10 minutes?

First Ryanair plane from Luca about to divert, not even going to bother holding.

it make it 5 diversions so far and a potential 6th about to happen.

EI 167 looks like it heading to Shannon too. All those holding for 16 really lost out when they switched to 28.

What's with the aircraft so high in the holds? There's acres and acres of space between XK and LL and his altitude seems to be the only thing stopping him being much closer to the ILS at this stage. it's not like he hasn't been holding long enough to descend.

How high was it? More efficient holding at high level, especially if you aren't able to make an approach or expecting a lengthy delay.

Exited the hold at around FL120-130. If he was a bit lower, he'd have been able to be fitted between two other aircraft, as far as I can see.

I should add that I have no meaningful realworld ATC experience, I'm going from the judgement of about 1,000 sad, sad hours as a VATSIM controller, so fairly major caveat with my technical knowledge

Looks like the fun is over. Wind is dying down and the last few in seemed to have made easy work if it. The suns even coming out.
