    Today I have had

    Tito
    Kane
    Jimmy Joe
    Ogheneovo
    Oghenerukevwe
    Ted

Those can't be names!! Really? They're just random blobs of letters. As if somebody dumped a tin of Alphabetti Spaghetti upside down or tried to write down how their morning sickness sounded :pac:

    Ha, ha, ha, Tito. Shamone

Barely qualifies as it's not a real person but Jermaine Jackson named his kid Jermajesty

Mathgamain- Brian Boru's older brother's name.
Tis only a matter of time before we see it being used again.

Twin lads in England called Benson & Hedges.

Parents were divorcing and the judge told them that the kids had to be renamed.

I have to say I really don't like these American type names that Irish parents seem to be mad about these days: Tyler, Brandon etc.

Or the hyphenated faux jazz names : Ella May, Lily May etc. You feel like saying, You're from fcuking Cabra, mate.

Or the English names like Harry, Ollie or Alfie.

Might as well tattoo 'Tryhard Wanker' on their foreheads giving their kids those names

In Canada you hear some amazing ones. I remember a kid at the camp I worked at was called Justice. Tiny, slightly nerdy redhead. And very shy (although very sweet).

It wasn't a name that suited her even slightly.

In fairness, unless she became a Cop, that name would never suit her!

This , my mate gave his 2 kids Gaelic names and they will be forever spelling their names out and correcting people on their 'pronunciation' .

Ara yeah but that's other peoples problems.

I think you're looking for the "best kid's name you've ever heard" thread.

Could go tragically wrong depending on the surname though.

Blade O'Reilly or Blade Ward sounds like a itinerant bare knuckle fighter in a Guy Ritchie yarn.

I know a kid whose parents called her Alexa. Poor thing doesn't stand a chance really.

I also hate anything that's double barreled with Grace or May/Mae. Time was , both of those were lovely names-but they've been done to death now and just sounds common.

Best musician name was probably Cobalt Stargazer (Zodiac Mindwarp) :)

    Blade Stargazer would be deadly.

Oh I hate that too. "Millie May, Alexa May, Lilly May", it's a child not a brand, so dumb.

Hah, I was thinking that too - loved those books!

Also, Destiny, Krystal (or any variant spelling) Gobnait and anything named after a pop star.

Heard a good one today outside Tesco Athlone-'Come here, Cxunt'.
Cxunt actually appeared to be no more than five years old. Sad.

Any make name with 'ina' or 'ine' or 'a' added to the end to feminise it.

    Thomasina
    Paulina
    Roberta

And possible the worst most dreadful name any parent could ever bestow on an innocent child 'Pascaline'
