Sectional qualifying is on May 25th so he'll have to provisionally enter this just in case 6 players jump him in the next 2 weeks.
    Odds are in his favour.

Shane remains at 55th in this week's rankings. Should be OK for top 60 at next week's cut off point for US Open.

Quick out of the blocks this morning, 3 birdies in first 5 holes. Back to under par for the tournament.

Great - I was getting concerned when I saw yesterday's round. Hope we see some of him on TV.

Same as last year hopefully. There's something about this place that agrees with him.

Great round, but should have been even better. Narrowly missed shortish birdie putts at each of the last three holes.

Nice round from Shane, and sounds like it could have been even better. So looking good for the weekend.

Brilliant stuff. No dropped shots in rounds 2 or 3 is very impressive.

Very nice from Shane today - 7th on his own now. Hope he continues like this tomorrow - nice cheque on the way and will help his ranking hopefully.

And another bogey free round from Shane today - 3 under. Nice cheque coming up.

Looks like it's around €140k for Shane. Anyone know what it'll do for his world ranking? Is he already qualified for US open?

It should solidify his position inside the top 60 which is all he needs for the US Open. He might even scrape back into the top 50, the BMW PGA has big OWGR points because it's the European Tour's flagship event.

    F. Molinari is still playing the last, if he gets par or better Shane will be T6 with one other (Fleetwood) which will mean a pay cheque of €162,500.

Update on the US Open exemption - top 60 either tomorrow (May 25) or June 15 so as of tomorrow he will be exempt as he's ranked 55 and will go up a few notches on Monday's list.

Nosferatu on Twitter says Shane will be ranked 50th tomorrow https://twitter.com/VC606

Was he not exempt from his Top 10 finish last year anyhow?

Got €162.5K for his tied 6th. And a nice boost to his ranking. Pity about the first round, but it has been a good week for Shane.

Looks like Shane might go up to 48th in the world rankings, depending on final results in the Crowne Plaza. Funnily enough, he moves ahead of Tommy Fleetwood, even though he's behind him in this week's rankings and they finished on the same score this week. It's because the tournament that drops out of the reckoning for Tommy this week is the Johnnie Walker Championship that he won in August 2013.

Ben Martin and Brendon Todd picked up enough world ranking points in the Crowne Plaza to stay marginally ahead of Shane in the rankings. Still, he's back in the top 50.

I see Jiménez is up to 44th. Amazing for a 51 year old.
