Fitted a TRE to my vee this morning, went to get fuel and realised I plugged it into the fuel relay wiring and not the gear position sensor.

Pulled it out lifted the tank and put it in the right spot. Need to give it a blast now

Make sure and set it to the unrestricted gear

Technically not today, but the other day I changed out the stock rear fender for a much tidier one. So, "today I got out and enjoyed my bike!"

Was out for an hour the other evening and went through a full tank of juice thanks to a leaking carb. Stripped it all down today and cleaned the carb and replaced the needle and seat, leak fixed and bikes now running great again! Bring on the hills tomorrow :D

double bubble puig screen in dark smoke and black hugger fitter today. The double bubble looks well, and the hugger is nice and subtle. Next up is a fender extender! I'll throw up a picture later

Got a set of Metzeler M7 rr's fitted yesterday in Maddocks in Bray, and gave her a full service and a good cleaning today

Fitted a new reg plate to the bike today. Did not like the small one the previous owner had fitted.

Turns out the one on the bike was wrong. The last two digits were mixed up.

Some poor fella in an Audi A4 will have got any spending tickets supposed to be for me.

Thank god I got the reg plate made up using my tax disc and did not just copy the one on the bike.

I was changing the clutch plates on my enduro bike and I lent the bike on its side so I could take the clutch cover off without draining the oil. Unfortunately I must of caught the fuel tap as the handle broke off. So I thought I would make a handle to bolt to what was left.

The part fits over the stub that is left and is secured with a grub screw.

Engraved "ON" and "RES", middle position is off.

Anodised the part and used an orange dye which is close enough to the colour KTM use on there trick upper and lower yokes. The finish didn't come out very even. I am not sure why as I cleaned it a lot more thoroughly than I normally do.

Painted in the engraving black and fitted to the bike. I have gone to town with the Loctite so hopefully it will stay on longer than 50 seconds:)

That is amazing. I would have just used a vice grips :)

    Impressive work.

    That's pretty cool.
Any chance you could build me a bike. 800cc's at least 3 cylinders would suffice and wire wheels would be great. Not interested unless you paint it white - I don't want one with any orange on it !

first spin with the new double bubble screen today - it's so much quieter with lots less buffeting. Looked at the speedo and realised I was doing a lot more than I thought I was doing. Will need to keep an eye on that!

Left the R1 out to be stripped down and sold on when I get back from Spain next week. It's been a good 6 years with it but time to try something new (already picked out!).

Neither did I! Losing so much money on the parts but there was one last itch to scratch in terms of sportsbikes for me. Think i'll keep them for the track soon enough

After much abuse at a weekend spin from a fellow biker (u know who u are!) about the filth of my chain, I picked up some Muc off and a chain brush and it's super stuff. Had used the WD40 spray solvent before and it was ok but the Muc off is great stuff! still needs some elbow grease but I found it good.

Yeah took the plunge. Was never comfortable with the stupid price of them new vs the misc reliability so a mint low mile used one for a lot less works better!
