    Natural causes?

This is fine. If someone killed him I hope they get the appropriate sentence.
Either way, no loss to the world Im sure.

    Schadenfreude

"Mr Dorr, a champion kickboxer, was trying to stop the row and keep the peace when Ward repeatedly punched and kicked him in the head.

Ward did not know Mr Dorr, but he ripped the teenager’s shirt off him and continued to attack him even when he was unresponsive.

He left zigzag shoe marks on the teenager’s forehead and the side of his head after he punched, stamped and kicked him."

There's no shame in being happy a scumbag like this lad is dead.

Good suggestion.....yet again, the ever present availability of Bail, played no small part in Mr Wards ability to destroy other peoples lives.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

That is one way of looking at it but I don't agree.
Tell me about his life, how did he become so violent to do the above?
Was he born that way? Is it Genetic? Did someone else turn him that way.

He could have suffered a life far worse than the out-lash he was
convicted for but this is never know, people don't care.

Much as I agree the world is a better place without the thug, he's somebody's kid. Not sure hot I feel about celebrating.

Not forgetting that this unprovoked attacked happened in daylight in a public street, reports were from around the time that people came out of their homes and tried to intervene and they were told by ward " Mind your own business or you'll be next " , I do know a lot of people didn't testify out of fear of comeback and it was very difficult for the DPP to get a prosecution and the rest of the gang were never charged. What absolute vile filth, I hope he suffered a horrendous end, maybe there is some justice in this world after all

He kicked a kid to death, fcuk him and his background. I've no sympathy. I'm only sorry he didn't die before crossing paths with that boy.

If a animal bites a child or an adult it gets put down.
Good riddance to another toe- rag who destroyed people's lives.

The death of the younger man is the tragedy in all of this, I agree 100%.

But if his background was better know, it might prevent future killers.

Cry me a river. I had a **** upbringing, I know many people who had worse. We all managed to get through life without killing someone.

Why not? Do we know that they did anything wrong? Maybe they did! But he could just be a total psychopath who caused his family no end of grief and shame. Perfectly nice people come from difficult backgrounds, just like he could have had a perfectly good background and turned out as he did. I wouldn't wish a relative like him on any family!

I think it's great, and while doubtful I hope it brings some comfort to the victims family that this skanger died an undignified death in a sh1thole drinking toxic piss .

I remember reading about the murder at the time, such a needless act of violence it's actually mind boggling.

He didn't. And you cant speak for him regardless of your life experience.

He made a choice to kill someone. It wasn't an accident, it wasn't caused by his lack of care or attention...he deliberately attacked a teenager and kicked him to death. I don't care if you grew up with parents like Fred and Rosemary West, you have don't use another person as a punch bag. Imagine if that kid was your son or brother? The only sympathy I have is for the family of Niall Dorr.

I'd usually agree with examining why a person would behave as he did, in order to prevent it happening again. And I stick by that.
But they're still ultimately responsible for their actions too. This man was a monster - what he did to that young lad and his family... it's too upsetting to think about.
And is there even evidence that he did have a terrible upbringing? It's not always a given in these situations.

He was convicted of manslaughter which removes the decision to kill.
