I've noticed that in the library. Same thing in the cafe as well :P

To the douchebag who took of his shoes and put them on the radiator in the first floor lab in CSIS... Thank you for making us all feel ill from the absolutely disgusting smell

What's up with people taking off their shoes?!! People are forever doing it in the lab I study in and walking around in their socks.
You're not at home! Keep your shoes on!

It's disgusting! His feet / shoes actually smell so bad. We can't even study now because it's so distracting. We've all the windows open and it's barely helping.

Back when we had the really hot weather, our maths tutor came into the tutorial completely barefoot. I hate feet. It was the most horrible 50 minutes of my life.

    That sounds so so bad...
    Why the radiator?
    Were they wet?
    And still, times and places!
Library's everywhere I think it's commonplace for people to take off their shoes. Absolutely hate it.
If you want air to get to your feet, wear sandles, they're socially acceptable and I don't mind really when people take them off in public.
With shoes your feet have been cooking in them since that morning. Socks intensifying heat. Seems like they're only clean from getting out of shower til next time you put your shoes on.. :P

The shoes are wet but the radiator isn't even on so it makes no sense at all to put them there

Well, that fúcking sucks. You should probably mention it to someone that the roof is leaking? :P

I would, but I'm not sure how that would fix the problem in the next two hours, and after that I couldn't care less :pac:

I just found this job advertisement very interesting.

    http://www.universityvacancies.com/u...-required-2422

the rate of pay is €92.50 in the University of Limerick for a Problem Based Learning Tutor in the Graduate Entry Medical School.

The only requirement for the above job advertisement is to have a medical degree.

The standard rate of pay for a junior doctor in his first year post graduating from college is €15.31 per hour.

This is an incredulous example of waste in the Irish University setting.

Lecturers with PhDs would not be on this level of money.

This is an insane rate of pay. this is what our taxes are paying for.

What does a PBL tutor even do. My understanding was they don't teach anything and merely facilitate the session.

    Any seats in the library?

Is there any penalty to missing an exam other than obviously getting 0%?
Will there be any problem with me repeating it in August if I miss it?

Not that I know of. You'll be capped at a C3 though, unless you happen to get an I grade in it. Some lecturers will allow you to sit a different exam paper on a day that suits though, if there's a good reason as to why you can't make the actual exam.

Ok thanks :) I don't need a plug so some of the ones with out plugs should be free so :D

I do wish people would say 'sockets' instead of plugs. You have the plug, the desk has the socket.

Did you understand what they meant? Yes? Isn't that how communication works? Does it really matter then so? http://rs246.pbsrc.com/albums/gg105/SCSone/Untitled12.gif~c200

I understood, but it's the incorrect word to use. Why use the wrong word when one can just use the right one?
