I'm just wondering did they make that for the laugh or did someone find that on their car.

It working out at 250 beans max for a 2.5 inch stainless exhaust from the manifold back in souhans in trim. That's fitting a flange to the manifold and another flange join thing down near the back about 2 foot before the back box. A lambda sensor fitting too. We're supplying the back box. Thought it would be closer to 5 than 2 hundred so not so bad. Yours looks like you'll get a while out of it yet though?

I might get them to do that so, for the time being, the lambada sensor in mine is in the turbo arm which connects the exhaust up to it, but its holding up for a bit longer, I'm getting a bit of welding done on the drive tunnels next as its structural and starting to rot, so important bits first

Nope! Without stripping the whole car down I'll always miss a bit, but the serious stuff seems to be up front and once its taken care of soon it'l be grand

This is cool, its sort of an inital D experience where you can rent Japanese sports cars for a few hours and drive around the Touge.

I was never good at the whole driving around on low fuel game but then on a temporary car I don't want to be putting in more than I have too. So here some info because I'm confused.

Collected the car range read ----. Fuel light on, one bar which I think is always there. I put 15 litres in it roughly and got 2 bars extra so 3/8 of a tank. Currently the car is saying I've used 10.0 litres of fuel and that ive averaged 6.0l/100km (badly badly needs a service) and have a range of 180km there are 2 bars left 1/4 of a tank but really less than that.

So too me that just seems to contradict itself and I'm none the wiser.

Haven't turned on the radio in the alfa yet :). Maybe on the motorway down to cork tomorrow I might. It was the most important part of the car(for my sanity) in the primera. That and the headphones!

Has anyone here dealt with Tony Meegan Dismantlers in Louth? What are they like to deal with? Im looking for parts off a car which they have advertised for breaking on donedeal but I am not sure what condition they may be in, or if they would be able to post to Tipperary. I have tried emailing and calling them but have got no reply with either (their business hours dont suit me so email is really the only option).

Emailing breakers is a complete waste of time.

Was talking to the garage where I bought my car. They said that if the car is damaged they will fix it and that they are very annoyed with the guy that moved it because by the looks of it he damages cars as well as looses the keys.

On the lost key front they never found the keys but haven't ordered new ones. Kind of a bizarre situation really by the looks of it it will be Friday next week at the earliest before I will get the car. But it's kind of mad it's like they are waiting for them to turn up. Then there not too bothered about me driving the loaner car. I really can't see what they are gaining by me having a car they could be selling and my car being sitting there locked in a car park.

Looks like I'll have to ring Liberty and beg them to extend the temporary cover. Is there generally a limit on how long you can transfer your insurance for ?

Was worth a shot anyhow as their business hours are clashing with my own time. Guess I'll have to work around it somehow!

But I would have sworn that someone in this thread said that they had dealt with Meegans before, be nice to know what they were like to deal with (i.e. prices cheap or expensive, do they do deliveries, were the items requested in the condition as told etc.)

I'd be giving that garage a boot up the ass to get this sorted if I were you!

Someone must have told him to give his car a bit of a spruce. You might get a trip out of it though... touch wood.

Id of had to give them money to look for it back. I offered to pay but they just said wait till im collecting the car. Granted that's probably a lot to do with my dad knowing them so well. I wouldn't say they through the keys of a temp to everyone and anyone who hasn't actually paid yet. But I fail to see how they are gaining with the current situation. I mean surly 2 key cards woulent cost a renault main dealer that much.

I suppose provided the insurance company extend the cover I am not too bad i still ultimately have a car to drive. Just a bit of a mad situation overall I thought the whole aim was to sell cars and get the cars out the door as quickly as possible.

Given they know your dad well makes the service even worse. Why are you putting up with it? If liberty charge you admin fees due to all the changes to your insurance are you going to ask them to recoup them?

Uh oh - what was wrong do you mind me asking? They do have what Im looking for but if they arent pleasant to deal with then I think I'll go elsewhere.

A conversation I overheard went something like "how can you justify that price and get away with it?"

They have quite a stock of newer cars though, which a lot of yards wouldn't have, hence the slightly higher prices

What car were you lookin bits from?

I don't think they see it as messing me around though as they have given me a car that's almost equivalent (well not as nice but ultimately the same model). I am going to ring Thursday and they would want to be ordering keys by then or have some plan. I don't really want to look for another car as tbh I really like the megane and probably wouldn't buy anything else anyway and this one is a well minded one and a very good deal and I know they will do warranty work as I know the service manager and he is sound.

You could argue its a win win for me as currently I have my money and a car but Id just prefer to get it soon all the same and be able to put all my stuff in it and make it feel like my own if you know what I mean.

Err that would already put me off

Bits from a Ford they have in stock, its the Titanium model which is rare enough in Ireland. The full leather interior, alloys, radio and front grille which is all available in 2 of the cars they seem to have in stock!

I might check out prices first and if they seem reasonable then I'll consider them.

Deep pockets... Wheels alone would be bloody expensive! :(
