    Heh, this reminded me of Bunny Colvins creation Of Hamsterdam - an area where drug dealing was tolerated - in "The Wire" TV series.

    Hard to believe that such a policy is enacted in reality.

    Race is a key component of this story and others. However, these stories are evolving to become critiques of police brutality.

    What was the conviction record?

    How was his arrest record released? It sounds almost like a police state, they kill a man in custody, then they release info of, not how many times he's been convicted, but how many times they've apprehended him before.

    They really have set themselves up as judge, jury and executioner.

    No one is wailing on him? People are arrested all the time and several don't want to get in a van. Hence they are carried

    The real issue is what happened in the police van. He was not properly strapped in which exasperated the initial injury.

    Not having been involved with the Police, Watching UK police just fo*king people into the back of the van handcuffed are there even belts for example ?

    I believe there were belts in the van.

    Batts added that despite Gray’s pleas for medical help, officers "failed to get him medical attention in a timely manner multiple times.”

    Gray was also not buckled up inside of the van, he said, violating his department’s rules.

    "No excuses for that, period," Batts said.

    Instead the 25-year-old was placed in leg irons and driven to a police station. The 30-minute ride included three stops during which a second prisoner was added to the back.

    I quite like how Nodin, even faced with someone with a criminal record, tries to play the part of the caring warrior for social justice and all around inclusion.

    The man was a drug dealer, with quite a long list of crimes. It's not like he was a misguided soul, he was a criminal. If he's dead, who cares?
