Just about to tackle up to the mower. A few blades to change and stuff to do, a bit of tidying up of rushes after the cows for this rotation and do the same again in late summer before using the weedlicker.

    Doesn't time fly:)

I had the pleasure of driving through parts of Galway the other day and I was admiring all the dry stone walls, they really are impressive! And I'm told the further west in the county you go the more impressive they are? Just wondering I was told before that the stone is what was taken from the feilds, is this true?

A lot of it would be at some early stage and plenty more small stones under boithrins and in bog holes .
I was concreting in a swing one evening for a lad and he asked his young fella to get a small stone . The young fella said he couldn't find one . The old boy nearly cried , we're in the middle of Conemara there's nothing but ducking stones every ducking where !

Sad day here. The two German Shepherds attacked and killed one of the sheep dogs out in the field. They were chasing the tractor and they attacked out of no where. Everyone is devastated.
The next door neighbours 7 year old son has to be told, that'll be hard, he loved Billy :(

Much as I sympathise with the dog and am sorry to hear it has caused distress, that situation could have been much much worse if the young lad had been around :(

Are you going to do anything with the dogs?

Yeah they're probably going to be put down. It's not safe having them around especially when you never know when they could attack again.

When I got married my good wife came with a dog. Very friendly 9 year old golden lab.Came from a city house out to the countryside. Was friendly to everyone but what ever it was to took a set on the father. Knicked him twice. First one everyone kinda brushed it off but second time wife knew he had to be put down. Twas tough for her but she knew it had to be done.
    Dogs can be curious animals
