I've heard it increases the sense of intoxication.

If you drink in the bath or drink standing up you can't get drunk. Or if you pull the bottle out before any liquid comes out.

Can I have the whiskey if you do?

Never do this - the chocolate and the alcohol combine to form Chocahol-mono-Glycerpeptones in the lower intestimines which can lead to Pleurococcy-clamidyitis and Endo-Parseinomitis of the Adriatic.

I'm telling you, it isn't pretty.

    It does not.

But it does increase the mess in the event that you throw up from having taken too much drink. Very dark vomit ensues. Not pretty.

Considering that the only google result for those words... is this thread... I'm gonna call Shenanigans on that :)

BUT, alcohol DOES react with sugar in the blood stream and that can lead to dehydration and low blood sugar which are the causes of hangovers. So, theres some science behind the idea of not eating a ton of chocolate while drinking. Whether it increase the sense of intoxication depends on the individual and I very very much doubt it. :)

Not at all - it's 100% Credically proven. In clinicul trials, with 100 subjects, Mono-hexa-choclatides were found to combine with the clenbuterol in alcohol to form long-strand Choca-holic Dipeptides. These underwent a trans-mino-hacid sub-arachnase mustasis at 37'c and became hexa-latent.

The worst offenders were Marathon bars combined with Harp. It has been dubbed the Martha-Harprothonic effect after the person who discovered the phenomenon - Dr Martha Stewart. She was nominated for an EMMY for her research.

    and Endo-Parseinomitis of the Adriatic.

In the more recent studies I think a rupture of the Balearic is more common.

Sufferers have been known to describe their symptoms as "jasus, I thought me belly was crawling". The acute version is worst, chronic sufferers develop a resistance to the effects, dubbed "The Dulling-Kruebeen Effect" - Acute patients, those exposed to less than 3 consecutive weekends of chocolate and Alcohol have been tested as having over 170% more Choco-tolin their systems than non-abusers. Part of the upgrade to "Snickers" was the allegedly the removal of the offending compounds - hence the huge reduction in incidents. Harp refused to comment, but I think their silence on the subject speaks volumes.

This is still being debated - Russian scientists studied 1000 patients but their findings were in Russian, so no-one is too sure what they were. Apart from russian speakers.
