    I take i that's BHP foxy?

Tis indeed. Had the 105bhp model myself for a brief stint. Seriously economical car. Shame about the rest of it though

    Wasn't there a 110bhp in the b5 / 5.5.

If your looking at 2005 onwards b6 passat it's basicaly silver TDI badge is 1.9tdi 105 bhp and then red I is 140bhp 2.0tdi.

I've been driving a 105 Passat since yesterday (my own car is undergoing some work). I don't particularly dislike it (has the hi-line interior) but it's laughably slow.

Maybe mine was 110 so. It was the b5 model. I didn't have enough interest in it to find out to be honest. Served its purpose for a few months. I've never seen a car with so many electrical problems in my life

Timing chain would have stretched on him.
260 is decent for any clutch especially one that pref owns.

I'm driving a Skoda diesel these days, TDI 90bhp, doing about 675mpg.

The C5 was on it's original clutch until last week, 188,000 miles (305km for those metrically inclined)

Only started to slip in the last few weeks.

I've meant to ask you, and you specifically.

You weren't on the dunboyne to summerhill road on Wednesday night by any chance, there can't be that many black RX8's in that neck of the woods....

'Fraid not. Was parked outside the house on Wednesday.

Was out Thursday and Friday alright to go to work.

Anyone here ever gotten an international drivers permit?

Had to apply for one and just received it in the post. Looks like something from the 50's or 60's. Weird little brown book. Not really sure what to do with it to be honest. hahaha

Heading to Brazil this summer and "apparently" it's required there. Car rental place just asked for my irish license (when booking) and proof of address. Think this might be an AA scam.

Think they say required for lot of places including U.S...It ain't required! Better safe then sorry I guess never been to Brazil.

Dont think so. Think if it had one it needs one. Dont think they check for a cat but very hard to pass emmisions without it id imagine.

That not just a silencer? Google nct manual 2012. Page 13 of the pdf.

Tested pre 1994 standards regardless whether it has a cat or not. If your planning on leaving the cat out at least connect it up to an emissions tester and see if it's worth your time. I doubt it will pass without one to be honest; most cars we're designed with them in mind from the early 80's onwards.

I must come up and see it soon actually, haven't been up your way since you got it!
I'll come and critique the rest of the terrible welds. :p

and if the welds are airtight I couldn't care less. It's an exhaust. Doesn't have to be pretty.
