So one crow fell down the chimney and it nearly died?

    Its clearly attempted murder.

Too early for chicks I'd say . likely they were nesting.

Yeah I think so too. They've been scavenging for nesting materials around the place for a week now.

I keep my dog in the house and hoover every day. I dump the hairs I pick up out the back and they are gone within a few minutes every time.

Had a racing pigeon fall down our chimney when the fire was on years ago. It was a gas fire so it was switched off promptly enough. Singed badly around it's tail feathers but still alive. Brought it to vets the next day and they were able to return it to it's owner eventually. Doubt it flew again in competitions :o.

Blackbird fell down literally the other day. Fire off but it was an absolute pain to get out. Wouldn't move from the lights and was flying around and landing on the paintings / curtain poll. ****e everywhere too. Eventually got it out after catching it in a net you throw over blueberry bushes. Needless to say, we're getting a guard around the top put in soon.

Ok crows kill other nesting birds this time of year to rob their nest sometimes killing the other birds and breaking eggs, nature is tuff and some times crull. That's life.

One morning when I got up I heard a bit of a racket coming from the sitting room, went to see what it was and a bird had fallen down the chimney even though there's mesh on the top.

The poor thing was scared out of it's mind, flying round the room trying to escape. I opened the windows and after a few minutes it flew out. There was dots of blood all around the room, must have bashed into the window a few times trying to get out.

    You're justifying this?

Surely this is the endgame in moral relativism

"That's life."- the eternal murderous epitaph, used by so many to wash the blood from their guilty hands.

    For shame.

Bloody right I did. The noise it was making on its way down and when it hit the coals was disturbing

Was literally just about to watch Game of Thrones too. Can't now until the stink clears.. and the smell of burning crow

    Ironic

    GOT + Burning crow

Poor bird. But you know what they say - if you lay down with dogs, you get fleas.
