Yeah I read that too. Do I just set the brightness to the level I want and then it adjusts itself?

No just turn adaptive lighting on, it will adjust itself accordingly.

Do I just keep rebooting the phone until the update appears? On Vodafone. I go to settings-about-check for updates

Why would you need to reboot before pressing check for update? On all phones I've ever had you've never had to reboot to check.

This might be a feature of cm12 but not one i care for at the moment. When the screen goes to sleep after inactivity its wakes albeit with a dark screen that shows time and notification a couple of times after the screen initially went black.

Anyone know if this is a feature and if it can be disabled or know if its a bug?

Other issues i have are it always says headphones disconnected after a reboot and if change the default sms app from the messaging app to another one, i get a prompt every time on reboot saying the messaging app is not responding.

Still haven't gotten the OTA update, tried rebooting etc. Any ideas?

Update manually, that's what I did and have had no problems so far.

Download it from the OPO forum
->Move zip file to your phone
-->Reboot into recovery (if on stock, go settings > about phone > Tap build number a few times 5 or 6 > then go back to settings > developer options > tick advanced reboot > reboot (select) recovery
--->Select wipe data/factory reset (WARNING: this will remove all data from your phone)
    ---->Install zip from internal storage

Are you serious? Do a complete wipe/reset? I'll wait for the OTA thanks! :)

It is better to have a fresh install. Sometimes old settings a files etc.. cause problems.

I have been feeling the battery life drain a bit this last while, been waiting for this update to do a full wipe

Having come from a nexus 5 I usually do OTA then wipe later in a few days when I have time. I'll be doing the same with this

The screen partially turning on can be disabled by turning off ambient display. The other problems sound more bug likely alright. Messaging crashing is listed as a known bug. Go to apps and messaging and try clearing data.

I find the phone more responsive with the new update cyan 12s. One thing i noticed is the keyboard app sywpe (didn't try any of the others) has a different layout since the update. Anyone else noticed this with the keyboards they use?

It's already live, some have it. It's staggered to reduce load on their servers, you'll get it very soon

Go for it, no bugs to report from me, using it all day today. Phones more responsive too.

I notice it doesn't fix the issue whereby bluetooth destroys your wifi signal. Shame.

    That's a problem for EVERYTHING.

Change your router from 2 to 5 ghz and the problem is solved as 5ghz isn't affected by bluetooth.

If I forget to turn the Bluetooth off on my laptop I have the same issue if the router uses 2ghz.

This didn't happen to anything like the same level with my Nexus 5. Changing to 5ghz is not an option in work and AFAIK, changing it at home will mean the Chromecast won't work. It's ridiculous that this bug has not been fixed yet.

It's not a bug, it can happen with any device using 2.4ghz. Bluetooth uses the same frequencies. A dual band router has both 2.4ghz and 5ghz so legacy devices can connect to 2.4

Apple have somehow managed to make devices that this doesn't happen with. I understand there being some slight issues but it completely destroys my wifi connection, I did a speed test and my wifi conenction went from almost 50mb with bluetooth switched off to less than 1mb when I switched it on.

I have tested the same on some different Android devices and whilst Motorola's have the same problem, many Androids don't. And neither does iOS.

Sounds like a bug to me if other manufacturers have figured out how to handle it.

Google it, there are lots of instances of the same thing happening on Apple devices

    Fair enough.

Back to CM12, for some reason on the lock screen it says No Service on the top left hand side of the screen even though my network connection is fine.

Still no update available for me. If I flash it, will I have to install all my apps again manually or will they automatically be download once I connect to my Google account

Depends on whether you have it set to backup or not

Anybody having terrible battery drain? Looks like the wake/lock problem with Google Play Services AGAIN. Going to try these solutions and see if it improves.
