Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. I'm inclined to agree. While she's not 100% at the "generic and sexed up" stage yet though, she is certainly heading there, and if she continues the way she's going her next album could be past that stage!

Still though, I'm still looking forward to June! I would have loved to have seen her 3/4 years ago though.

Taken from the Independent: Music bible 'Rolling Stone' has compared the album '1989' to Bob Dylan's early work - "except with more songs about Harry Styles".

She has seven Country music awards and seven Grammys.

Her lyric writing is excellent in my opinion, on 1989 she sings about a friend whom she trusted and who stuck a knife in her, and how she can never forgive her, the lyrics to Bad Blood are about Katy Perry who went and poached three of TS's dancers while on a world tour.

There are some really beautiful songs on the album, songs to sing along to, songs with stories.
When it comes to album of the year it has made those lists and high up in the lists.

She seems fairly grounded so I hope she stays that way and keeps the good girl image as she doesn't need to change her image, her talent got her to where she is.
A Barbara Walters interview goes out on Sunday. Miley Cyrus she ain't:
In the TV special, which airs Sunday night on ABC, Taylor also opens up about the responsibility she feels to be a good role model to her young fans.
"I put everyone of my actions through a filter before I do them because that's the way my life is," she says. Speaking hypothetically she adds, "If that story gets out or some 10-year-old sees that I did that in a news article, like my actions do have ripples."

    Really looking forward to June...

Her first five albums must be up there among the best first five albums ever, in terms of being of a consistent high quality.

Yeah, although 1989 took a while to grow on me, I absolutely love it now. Even Shake it Off has appealed to me, although that's largely after I saw just how much fun she was having in the video. It kind of made me change the way I viewed the song.

All I ever listen to in the car now though is an mp3 cd with all of he five albums. I still absolutely love her very first album, especially the song "Invisible". That would certainly be one of my favorite T.S. songs, if not my actual favorite.

I'm also looking forward to June as well. It's going to be epic! :D :pac:

Her world tour is over, and for anyone who attended, wasn't it simply great. Loved it.

On Sunday, Taylor has a Christmas present for us, her world tour will be available exclusive to Apple Music, filmed in Sydney in front of around 75,000 fans.

    It's been far too long!

I like it though. Looking forward to the new album "Reputation" coming November 10th. :):)

I am not a fan of the new song or video, seems she trying to want to be more like Beyonce/Lady GaGa/Katy Perry etc.,

And now it looks to be her first No. 1 in the UK charts

I can completely understand that point of view tbh, as it is so very different from her previous stuff.

I absolutely love it though which considering I'm such a Swiftaholic, seems strange as it seems like most Swifties don't like it at all.... :)

I genuinely cannot wait for November 10th.

I like it, and I do like the video, she was being called a snake on twitter last year, so she goes after the people responsible.
In the bath of diamonds and if one looks closely you will see a dollar bill, which is what she looked for in her case against the DJ who molested her bottom.
Overall it is a song about being mostly fed up of Kanye West and clearly not letting go of the Katy feud, with the crash and looking like her but clutching a grammy, given Katy Perry has none.

She did warn us in the song Better than Revenge on her Speak now that there is nothing that she does better than revenge.
I do think she should let some things go.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,013 ✭✭✭✭James Brown

She's very talented but with her new snake ****e and limp drama I think she's short on gimmicks. Maybe needs a new boyfriend for a fortnight?
Not my cup of tea musically, but if she asked me out, I might say yes, might now.

Taylor has now released three more songs since that last one, LWYMMD. They are as follows :

    ...Ready for it?

    Gorgeous

    Call It What You Want

I love them all, of course, but Call It What You Want is amazing!!

I cannot wait for her album!!

Sister has spent the last two days trying to buy it in Dublin and was told it hadn't arrived. Couldn't understand it either. She tried Tower and a few other places as well as tesco.

Surely she could afford to buy it herself as the highest paid celebrity in 2019

Scooter actually bought the whole Big Machine Label Group for 300m (or around that figure anyway I think). It wouldn't have sold for anywhere near that amount had Taylor's music been stripped out of it and sold to Taylor herself.

Their (Scooter Brawn and Scott Borchetta) defence is that Taylor was offered her music and claimed that she was lying when she said that she wasn't.

There's two flaws in that argument though. Firstly, she never claimed that she wasn't offered. In fact, she even states it clearly in her Tumblr post that she was offered. However (and this leads on to the second part), it was conditional on her signing a new deal with Big Machine despite her going out and seeing what else was out there, and there was in what is one of the biggest music labels out there in UMG in an offer that she simply couldn't turn down. Yet, BM did their best to hold her past music over her head in order to get her to re-sign with them.

For the reason mentioned in the first paragraph though, I can understand why BM didn't want to sell Taylor's music separately as it would (I'm guessing) significantly devalue the rest of the BM portfolio.

It's just the fact that it went to that other cock that's the most frustrating bit.

I may be slightly biased but I make absolutely no apologies for being so. :pac::)
