Shaun Walker? Wasn't he the one along with a Telegraph journalist who "witnessed" a Russian "invasion" last August?
The next day (Aug 15th) Porky announced that this invasion of Russian armour had been destroyed but apparently theres absolutely no photographic evidence of any invasion or burning Russian armour! (think of what a propaganda coup that would have been!)

Well you tell us, with evidence and links please.

Also you should realise that the day of the 'big lie' are over.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
    Joseph Goebbels

You should realise that in the age of the internet the lie cannot be maintained for very long at all. Tell Vlad that the game is up.

Really ? then why did he run away and turn up in Russia ? Ahh is this a sly jib at the Nazis did it or CIA black ops or other nonsense. We don't have to prove Crimea it's already come from the horses mouth.

You don't have to prove Crimea because it's irrelevant to eastern Ukraine. Russia has not invaded eastern Ukraine. You have been asked to provide proof and you still try the kindergarten prank of posting pictures of Russian personnel in Crimea.

You've already admitted, dpd, that you can't provide this proof yet you still refuse to accept it. That really is quite cowardly.

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,922 ✭✭✭Egginacup

Yup has dodged it every time with defection and random ramblings about western interference and "Proooooofs". Now when Crimea is brought up as it has been reported from the top, Now that met with but but that's not eastern Ukraine.

No, I am not talking about Crimea and never have been with regards to the fictional invasion of eastern Ukraine. You and others on here state that Russia has invaded eastern Ukraine. You have never been able to proof this and so instead of being grownup about it you try to say that Russian troops in Crimea = proof of Russian invasion of eastern Ukraine.

You're obviously just taking the piss when you play this kind of game.

You are wrong and don't have the strength to admit it.

What's why he ran away in fear of his life got to do with anything? Irish Trajan stated (wrongly) that Yanukovich was toppled by the majority of Ukrainians.
    What....there was a vote?
Yanukovich may have been corrupt but he was democratically elected by a majority of Ukrainians.
He was toppled in an illegal coup. The thugs who toppled him have recently made Dmitry Yarosh adviser to the Chief of Staff. Yarosh is leader of the neo-nazi Right Sector and has a corps of thousands of armed skinheads at his disposal. He's also wanted by Interpol.

    Some democracy.

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,922 ✭✭✭Egginacup

Yanukovych was toppled by the majority of Ukrainians, not some minor shadow group. The Americans didn't come in and bomb the Government, the British didn't attack Crimea like Al-Faw. It was the will of the majority to rid themselves of Yanukovych.

"Two democratic choices".. How on earth is "Give us control over all your institutions and policies" any different to "Give us control over all your institutions and policies"?

Don't hide imperialism behind a facade of democratic actions.

Didn't NATO yank Kosovo away from Yugoslavia without even bothering with a vote?

You're just setting yourself up to look foolish and hypocritical.

So you are saying that the Crimeans voted to rejoin Russia against their will? Is that what you're trying to say?

They didn't like any of the choices yet came out en masse to vote. Are Crimeans that dumb that they would just vote without knowing that they were voting for something that they disagreed with? Why wouldn't they all just stay at home.....you know abstain? And where's the popular resistance movement to Russian occupation?

Thank you, we've been waiting long and hard for you to admit that Russian forces are present in Eastern Ukraine and to hear you do so is both gratifying and a testament to your ability to be persuaded by rational argument. Kudos to you sir.

Kosovo had an Albanian majority who wanted independence during the Yugoslav wars.

Ukraine wasn't actively discriminating against Crimean Tartars, unlike the Serbs discriminating against Croats, Bosnians and Albanians. You're the one arguing for the West to take action against countries with poor human rights records, yet now you make the argument that the West intervening in humanitarian adventures is the same as imperialist ambitions? It is a false equivalency to compare them, stop clutching at straws.

No, that's not what I'm saying, so stop interjecting it. I've already stated that I support Crimea's right to join Russia, it should, however, be done under the watchful eyes of the UN, and "little green men" shouldn't be hanging around polling booths for it.

How on earth is abstaining the same as voting? All it does is give individual votes (for or against) more power. Stop reading Russell Brand's shítrag-books. They are not applicable for grown up debates.

This is a story from BBC news isn't it?
Interesting that the BBC can come up with trivia like this as news and impose a news black out about Ukraine appointing a neo nazi as advisor to the chief of staff of the Ukrainian armed forces. Can anyone explain why the western media refuse to cover this appointment by the Ukraine Govt?

IT seems the French are finally getting sick of the lies and propaganda regarding the fictional Russian invasion of UKraine:

Yes it's reported in RT but you can easily source French Intelligence for the original statements.

Wonder if this has something to do with the Kremlin to Marie le pens party asking them to publicly support Russian actions in East Ukraine.

    One man really .
why exactly would nato rely on French intelligence there not exactly well positioned as to what's happening in Ukraine

NATO booted out the Serbian army which had been carrying out a sustained campaign of military aggression and ethnic cleansing which left thousands dead. Once the Serbian army had been sent packing, the UN assumed control of Kosovo in compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (of 1999) and it became self-administering region nine years later, in 2008, when it declared independence. Russia did not veto Security Council Resolution 1244, which it had the power to do.

Over one hundred UN member states recognize Kosovo as an independent state. Russia's position is splendidly hypocritical - on the one hand, it still doesn't recognize Kosovo as an independent state, but nonetheless, it uses the example of Kosovo to legitimize its invasion, fraudulent referendum and subsequent theft of now-occupied Crimea.

And that is why Ukraine won't be getting Crimea back. Ukraine can barely afford to stop the eastern separatists from advancing, so the likelihood of Ukraine taking Crimea is null and void. Russia also reserves the right to use nuclear forces if the "existence of the state is threatened". It's a thin pretext, but Russians feel that Crimea (and Ukraine) is theirs, so any breach of their borders (recognized or not) isn't likely to end well.

Actually it's Russian forces pushing forward not separatists ,this whole would never have happened if it wasn't for thousands Russian troops ,tanks and heavy artillery hitting Ukraine forces hard.

Even rebels have come out and said it Russian forces doing the majority of the fighting and taking towns

Now it appears the Swiss banking authorities are co operating in helping return money to Ukraine frozen in yanukovics Swiss bank accounts some $170 million belonging to Ukraine.
While yanukovic was in power $30 billion in state loans disappeared and another $70 billion disappeared out of the country in a massive money laundering scheme

Where was the referendum over Kosovo and why weren't all Yugoslavs considered? Why just pull Kosovo away without the consent of any and then complain that Russia has torn away Crimea (albeit with the consent of ALL Crimeans) without the consent of Ukraine?

If Kosovars were so in danger of their lives from the blood-thirsty Serbs that NATO had to tear the country away and put it under a Western military mandate, then what is your problem with Russia providing a vote for protection from a junta in Kiev that has already murdered 1000's in Russian ethnic areas of Ukraine.

Surely if the usurpation of Kosovo was to protect a beleagured people then you must also respect the Russian maintenance of a Crimean protectorate.

First of all the Ukrainians never went into Crimea and began ethnically cleansing Russians so already its a completely different scenario.

Secondly having a nationwide referendum is pointless. If a referendum in Crimea had been held with no Russian interference ,unlike the one that was held, and Crimeans voted to secede then no one would have had a problem. There wouldn't have been reason to. And if the Ukrainians had complained or attempted to block it they would have found themselves under international pressure and criticism.

You'll just hear reports from the Russian media telling you that NATO is bombing heavily-populated civilian roads.

Dont worry lads it's just more propaganda from the Western media. We only need to be worried if the respectable bias-free RT reports the story.
