According to FR24, Dublin is the most delayed airport in the world ATM.

First time I've ever witnessed it!

Make that 20 if you include what's over mid Uk and Biscay

    Yikes!

I have some experience of landing in high winds, but not in such an aircraft.

It's some experience alright, and I am trying to pretend my most recent high wind landing was a doddle. It was not.

Glad you got down safely. You must be relieved.

Did you notice silence in the cabin while it was trying to land? That was something I noticed and it was weird. The minute it hit the runway though, it was like a zoo, the release of adrenalin I suspect. And everyone trying to be real brave beforehand!

Yes! This is exactly how it was. Not a word was said coming in, complete silence.

    Dub r28 in use!

Oops. R10 really wouldn't want to be in use!

You try and read all this info while figuring out the runways and be as inexperienced as me while doing it.

Sorry for the stupid question but what caused all the delays? Were they delayed departures at foreign airports because of the weather in Dublin?

This is a horrible thing to say but I want DUB to close and watch all the planes figure out where to divert to. (I apologise to anyone who is on these planes and is affected by the winds)

How does the increased speed improve their situation?

Passport control seemed very well staffed tonight. Every booth seemed open.

Isn't it so ironic the the only go-around in DUB tonight so far was the one that had just gone around in SNN.
