School trip to Rome? The furthest I even went while in school was Limerick, 1 hour up the road.

Grand, would the head-on high wind increase fuel consumption?

Of course, but how much reserve is there if when they get to DUB they end up getting sent to Shannon with more head-on wind...;)

Yeah definitely but it would have been accounted for in the flight plan and the skipper would take extra as its forecasted weather too

Your talking about the plane going 40kts and taking longer to reach the destination. Its under 10% usually (within Europe, head to the US with a Headwind and you'll know about it)

http://www.flightradar24.com/RYR399/5e1e4b1 appears to be positioning to SNN

That's FR109 that diverted earlier, probably with PAX.

Considering its not a SNN based aircraft, it will be flying from SNN-STN later. The flight was originally scheduled at 21:20

Glad to see you're still here :D

    Huh?

Edit: Its actually a different Aircraft, I'd say the one that landed in DUB is still covered in Sh*t stains and smells terrible so they sent that one

    Huh?

The flight history for that aircraft http://www.flightradar24.com/reg/ei-dwt It isn't the same one that diverted SNN-DUB.
