He'd probably be moving a good deal faster than he does on the show.

Mad to think the BBC can overreact to somebody using a few choice words. Yet they were deafeningly silent, as paedophiles operated within their organisation with impunity.

I wonder if Sabine Schmitz is available for Top Gear...
Maybe an all female TG? Schmitz, Kidd and VBH.
I would definitely watch that! Everytime VBH gets all excited and giggly over a fast car I come over all funny...

I mean Jesus Christ it was a row over a bit of grub. And its only a flippin TV show anyway. Why are people losing their minds over this ?

Because as the de-evolution of humanity continues, issues that should be meaningless and unimportant, become paramount.

People are only standing up for this drama queen because he is Irish, that is understandable. But Tynan is in the wrong here, he failed to do his job and created a scene. How difficult can it be to organise a bit of grub for a chap after he has a few pints? That was his job and he failed, if he was on a building site, he would have got a slap of a shovel across the back of the head, and called a lot worse. One million people who signed the petition are not wrong, Jezza will be back anyway, bigger and better than ever and this lads career is over on the mainland

    "Organise a bit of grub".

Clarkson et al spend too long drinking and by the time they returned the kitchen was closed. OT arranged a cold meal - "cheese platter".

Here's the map of the hotel they were at:

    https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Simonstone+Hall/@54.319123,-2.19864,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xd617e908b96dd483

As you will notice - its in the middle of nowhere. Hence why they used helicopters to get around. Not quite as easy as "popping out for a Big Mac."

Now, can you tell us how easy is to arrange a hot meal for the TG presenters bearing in mind a) the unpredictability of when they're actually going to turn up and b) the ability to keep food fresh and hot?

Clarkson's behaviour indicates he has an alcohol related problem. Not healthy physically or mentally.

Says a witness to the incident, and this has been widely reported and has not been denied by anyone.
In fact, as with all features of the incident, the only information detailed of the event have come from people who spoke to the press about what they had witnessed.
At least up to the statement by Lord Hall of the BBC.
So, all information has been of the same degree of credibility tbh.

    https://uk.news.yahoo.com/fact-clarkson-punched-verbally-abused-producer-144716818.html

Also, most non redtop newspapers have simply described the verbal portion of the incident as "abusive" rather than start quoting inflammatory language and further adding to the emotional rollercoaster some commentators have been on since it was first reported.

It really isn't at the heart of it, the abuse is coming from a drunk man, an annoyed man at that, whether he was entitled to be annoyed or not is beside the point, his judgement was questionable as a result.
The verbal abuse may well have been forgivable in the light of day but the assault is the thing, the line crossed and is simply incompatible with a professional workplace.

I feel the BBC have made a terrible mistake. Clarkson will now be signed up by another network, possibly an American network and start a new motoring show. Hammond and May will join him. The BBC will lose millions.

Really? You think a commercial network will tolerate slagging off of sponsors products? Really....?

I would happily pay 100 quid a year to sub Top Gear. The other 350 million viewers might also sub. Imagine the show that could be made when freed from the shackles of whining hipsterotards.

Would the vast majority not bothering subbing to it and just download it??

if someone had presented me with a cheese platter after a few pints I'd shove it up his hole aswell, it was Tynan's job to organise a bit of decent grub for Jezza, this was a top hotel, that should have been possible if he had used his initiative and do what he was paid to do, even if it meant going in and cooking him a bloody steak himself. I mean, the cheek of the guy to actually try and present a cold dish for someone's dinner, it defies belief

Who or what is a hipsterotards? If Clarkson does go somewhere else he could also have less freedom to say things due to sponsors calling the shots.

Jezza was the star of the show, the main man, he can do what he wants, it was Tynan's job to have his dinner ready, no wonder he lost the head when he was offered a cheese platter, Tynan was getting very well paid and failed to do his job

Being honest he was the star.....that in no way gives him the right to behave in an indefensible way
If he spoke to/hit your son/daughter in the same circumstances what would you say

No one deserves to be treated that way in this day and age....it's hard to believe such backwards taughts can still prevail in this day and age is beyond belief

I've been called a lot worse here, I was here in London in the mid 90's when the IRA blew the place up, some people really need to grow a pair.

The mid 90s are 20 years ago....the world has moved on since then

So I take it you would deem it acceptable for people to talk to/hit your son/daughter in similar circumstances??

it was banter for god sake, incidents like this happen every day on building sites and factories with people shouting at each other and in some cases coming to blows, it is always settled there and then with a handshake, now because of this drama queen, the BBC has lost a top show and one of its biggest stars, the fact he went to hospital with a fat lip shows what sort he is

    notes and comments:

Loaded Magazine, one of the so-called "lads' magazines" of the mid-1990s, is to close down, publisher Simian says today
    - This is a sign of the times, Clarkson and now this, what's next?

Presenter and broadcaster Dermot O'Leary will no longer host ITV's The X Factor after eight years on the programme.
    - He could be a contender along with Evans (both with BBC contracts) and maybe add that very nice (eye candy) lady from the CH5 used car type show

Clarkson apparently used slightly racist insults towards the Producer chap
    - Throw some food and have a burn-out strop sure, but don't get too nasty, likely a UKIP sponsor (I'd guess).

Wait a minute, you're Irish? Thought you weren't, given your disdain for Irish people - similar to the disdain you experienced yourself.
    That's weird stuff, man.

Tymon's job wasn't to do any catering by the way. And Clarkson did more than just call him something. In the workplace, you do not give someone verbal - and certainly not physical - abuse. This is no exception, but some people are pretending it is just because they love Clarkson.
Clarkson didn't even bother me before this, but all I see now is a guy who verbally and physically abused a colleague - deserves to be suspended or fired, similar to any job. People needing to "grow" a pair and so on is of no relevance.
If it was Vincent Browne giving the same treatment to an English member of staff working on his talk show, there'd be all-round agreement that VB deserved to be suspended, and rightly so.
