Not having Costa took a bit of a chunk out of my rankings, but still can't not be happy with 86! Hoping to properly break back into the 50ks next gameweek.

Not bring in Costa over Sturridge this week was a massive oversight for me this week. Used one of my transfers on getting Puncheon out assuming he was injured and regret not just benching him, playing Phillips, and using a FT to get in Costa.

    71

fairly happy having captained Aguero, could have been a disaster altogether

I am very happy with my 89

93 all in. Bellerin's one minute cameo cost me 5 points with Cresswell sitting pretty as first sub, but I'm not going to complain at my highest score of the season.

I've risen from 31k to 21k, but considering I was at 23k before last week's disaster, it's essentially only a 2k gain over that period.

I'm 29 points behind 10k, that's going to be my target for the end of season. Not bad considering I would have thought a top 100k finish would have been a good result at the start of the season!

I fear this could be the GW I look back as a season definer for the wrong reasons. I end on 61 points which sees me drop nearly 10k places to 22k. My lead in my main private league has been obliterated because 2nd place got a monster 102 points. I rarely welcome international breaks but I'm making an exception this time around.

    So similar here.

63 point lead down to 12 thanks to rival's 111 point haul.

Don't worry. One week can kickstart it all again. I just need Aguero to fire, to get a captain choice correct, and the gap will start to grow again.

The break is indeed welcome though.

More similar than you realise! Mine was a 69 point lead down to 11 now, having also captained Aguero. Oh well. Just have to saddle up the horse and go again next weekend. This game turns on a dime.

Edit - above figure actually accounts for last 2 GWs.

72, happy enough with Aguero captained, though I dropped nearly 2k.

70 all in for me. Had Aguero captain :(

Lead in my pay league is down to 13 points, it was 40 :(

My closest rival and myself have made an arrangement in that if either of us win, we'll split the pot :L

Another bad week. That's 8 red arrows in a row. Down to 9.4k now. Assuming this momentum continues, I'll be well outside the top 10k next GW.

71 points. Augero captain was the only difference between a large fall and a slight gain. I feel it's a harsh punishment for what wasn't far off a 50/50 decision, but they're the breaks.

Might try and bank the transfer this week ahead of the upcoming double.

Both my main rivals have Kane captain. I have Aguero. This could be a crucial week.
    Myhill
    Bertrand Wooly Terry
    Sanchez Silva Eriksen Hazard
    Aguero(c) Kane Austin

Well that couldnt have gone much worse. I managed 70 points for the week and dropped 3k places to 15k. But more importantly, one of my rivals had basically a perfect week with a score of 114 and a gameweek ranking of 187. He has eaten up and spat out my 34 point lead and some to leave me now 10 points behind him now. I think I was nearly 70 points ahead of him 2 gameweeks ago and have been top of the league since November. Things can change fast!

it was such a fantastic week for some, and fair play to them.

if you have Clyne/Bertrand, Silva, Giroud, Hazard, Costa and Kane captained you were golden. And that's not an unlikely scenario. All of those players are conceivably in a lot of teams, and not only in a lot of teams, but in a lot of very good teams.

the problem for many was the alternatives like Aguero and Sanchez did nothing, and many with Aguero captained him too.

    It happens.

The challenge for those who lost out is to judge who of their team will perform in the next week or 2 and who won't, and to try to keep knee-jerking to a minimum, which is extremely hard to do when you've lost out by over 40 points in a week. the natural reaction is to think your team is absolutely shíte, whereas it's not necessarily the case.

Spot on there is only 3 or 4 of these type gws a season. Unfortunately I was on the wrong end of this one but no need to panic. I was only a capt choice and Sunderland hanging on for 2 more mins away from a great score

The Sunderland thing is really annoying me. Small calls from officials like that have really hit me this season. It was a clear foul outside the box and if PVA had gotten nine, instead of two, I would have hit a ton for the week.

    Wise words.

Also some people had Chelsea defenders or Bellerin getting 1 pointers, while people with "Clyne/Bertrand, Silva, Giroud, Hazard, Costa and Kane captained" could easily have had Cresswell, Naughton or a Soton double with Alder to complete their dream week.

I was somewhere in the middle with two 1 point defenders and no Silva or Giroud from your list.

Doubled up on Soton defence this week - Forster & Alder. Was considering Berty and Myhill so I'm not doubled up on & will have a Pulis defensive cover going forward. Totally backfired with now having to use another transfer and my players scoring considerably less.

Two other 1 pointers in defence!

Ozil (my premium midfielder) didn't play & I didn't captain Kane!

    How I scored 60+ I don't know!

Have been in freefall the last number of weeks and can't stop the slide after such a promising campaign! Everything going wrong

Don't know where to start on rebuilding - really considering a massive minus overtake and hoping it outweighs my current team!

77 all in, green arrows in Ireland and red arrows overall. :pac:

Down to 17k and now 56 points behind in my main league. I should have banked my transfer, in a world of pain now with Foster out, Dawson showing up as suspended and Benteke and Ozil down as doubts, though thankfully the latter two should be fine with the international break.

I'll probably have to take a points hit but i'm holding off on any transfers for now.

Some team surgery will be required at the back.

Ha. I wouldn't even be counting on that the way I've been caught in other leagues! What is it about 80 points?
