How many friends have you got?

So it's the hot topic of our time, mental health and also loneliness. Both contributing to suicide rate in the country imo. I think this might be due to lack of real good friends, and people being able to be open with one another. What do ye think? How many friends have you got?

I have roughly 5. And when we organise out twice a year session, only 3 turn up.

I have 3 off the top of my head that I meet up with every few weeks, and another 2 that are sometimes there (which I'm counting because they are my friends, I just don't see them as much as the other 3). So 5 but most of the time 3 (confusing!), but a good lot of not-as-close friends that I'd see only on very rare nights out, which suits me grand.

The ones I'd count as my closer friends are the ones I can go weeks without seeing, and it doesn't cause bad feeling or awkwardness. I like my alone time.
