I'm in my 30s and got asked for ID last summer because I had no make up on and was wearing a hoody and tracksuit pants. I never mentally got past the age of about 19. When I start to really age it will be tragic.

I was in a pub towards the end of last year, went up and ordered a drink. The barman asked "how old are you?" I said 28, he looked again and said he thought I was 18. I've been ridiculed too by some older than me for saying I felt old, due to my upcoming 10 year secondary school reunion.

Weight gain and I've arthritis so can't run or use the gym properly.

I've lost nearly 25kg in just over a year just through changes to my diet. I cannot exercise at all as I can't really walk properly and haven't exercised in nearly 2 years.
You're better off starting with changing your diet.

I'm down to 1600 cals a day and walk and started Kettlebells. I have a very good diet but the odd time I make oven chips have low fat crisps or a mini chocolate bar. I stopped white bread, coke and coffee and I drink low fat milk eat veg dishes or healthy eating options.

Why deny yourself coffee? It ain't got no calories!

According to her it raises the blood sugar and causes weight gain around the middle. Basically when I got my degree it had Thanks To Starbucks written on it. When I study again I'll probably be back to the cup being moulded to my little hand.

I definitely look better since I cut down on that and sugar and processed foods.

Sure it's been done but the appending of the word "Gate" to any mildly controversial event is pretty irritating. Actually its extremely irritating!

I eagerly await an incident involving an actual gate and the ensuing "Gategate" headlines in the tabloids

I'm starting a veggie version of Atkins next week. I did the meat one about 11 years ago and dropped 6 stone in 6 months. It's not a diet I could do for more than a year, max, but it's a great way of shedding a lot of weight fast and I was never hungry on it. I've got a chronic illness that often makes exercise difficult or impossible so I'm hoping it'll give me the kick start I need.:)

There was a lot to lose. I'd had loads of surgery and had been immobile for a long time, of course comfort eating didn't help. I remember taking my wedding ring to be resized after I'd lost the weight and the jewellers were shocked at how much smaller my fingers were compared to the size of the ring.:o

The story in the news about that man who snatched that child in cullahill, and only for Her brother, she escaped. Scumbag was out on bail when he was accused of doing it. A known sex offender on bail for another crime. And people locked up for not paying their tv licences

What in the actual scuttery brought all that on? I'd be inclined to tell her I'm not particularly interested in whatever psychotic episode she's having, that'll be potato alcohol for you. I speak French to my wife, Italian to visiting dignitaries, German to the chap who maintains the cars and Russian to the dog.

I don't know what brought it on. She arrived 15 minutes late, I took her to the treatment room and she asked who was doing her treatment, so I explain I am, introduce myself and she started freaking out. Flailing her arms around, on the verge of tears, she asked me if I was irish, I said I was and she started with the arms again, speaking in a language I couldn't understand (now I know it was russian". She basically told me her face was precious and that I wasn't qualified to work on it (I've done makeup for tv3, I do some well known models, her ugly mush was way down my list of achievements). I applied eye patches to protect the skin and she started shouting at me that I wasn't listening to her. She had applied oil all over where I had to tint (so the tint wasn't going to take properly), she yelled at me some more to wipe it more, told me she wanted Grey and black on her eyebrows, wanted me to draw in the eyebrow with tint, and leave tint on the top of her eyelid so it would look like eyeliner.

I took the tint off her eyelashes and as soon as I done that she jumped out of the chair and ran to a mirror and started freaking out, the tint wasn't dark enough (she didn't give it time to develop) calling me "stupid ****ing irish", "you look like a ****ing prostitute", and when she got to reception she was roaring in russian. She eventually left, but my russian has been upset all day. She won't tell me what she was saying but it was a horrible atmosphere all day. My Russian kept giving me hugs, saying she was so sorry she was so horrible, then saying she didn't want to talk to me about it, she wasn't herself all day, I'm telling her cheer up and She said she was just frustrated, and that she was "so glad" that the lady said whatever she said in Russian and not in english. She said she was horribly racist and seriously offensive. But whatever it was, it was bad enough to get to another member of staff for the entire day.

The Russian was saying "you do great job, you should not listen to verbal assault at your work". I can only imagine what she was saying, if she told me in English I looked like a prostitute :/

    And I don't even.

To be completely honest she sounds very unstable so I wouldn't even think about what she said. She should have been escorted out of the building.

When people (especially Irish people) use "the Irish" as a plural noun instead of as an adjective.

E.g. "the Irish don't X", or "the Irish are too Y"

It's a bit like the term "the gays", or "the blacks".

There's nothing strictly wrong with it, but there can be a whiff of disdain in it.

Coffee is terrible for your skin

On the contrary, research indicates it may reduce the risk of skin cancer.

Also may be an appetite suppressant and looks like it reduces the risk of dementia and Alzheimer's.

    Coffee is ridonculously awesome.

I love coffee. Proper coffee. I had to get my teeth whitened due to staining from the sheer amount I drank. I'm so down after today I can't even post music. I'm going to follow my own goals in future and ignore the begrudgers.

Trivial annoyance for the day, queuing for the self service checkouts in Tesco, dumb fooks in front of me had to be pointed to the free ones by a staff member. What the fcuk are you doing morons!?

What really grinds my gears is people with a trolley full of crap going to the self checkout. I choose these machines because I want to exit quickly; I do NOT want to be stuck behind you while you scan the first of 50 fúcking items and stand there thoughtlessly comprehending the machine's reaction.

Your Russian is right. That woman is mental. And no, you don't.

I logged on here this morning to lodge a robust defence of Coffee, but your words will suffice.
However, I suspect Lexie was referring to the effect coffee can have on the look of your skin?
Either way, coffee is just fantabulous....provided you dont have it after 4pm. Then you will be pacing the corridors all night instead of catching Zzzzsss.

Coffee is great, but replace 1 cup of coffee you normally drink a day with a pint of water. That's my tip.

My TA. My daughter puked on me last night. Also the couch, a cup, a cushion, a blanket, herself and the floor. She keeps reminding me this morning that it was 'purple puke daddy'.

People who wear high shoes and look like bambi. Either learn to walk correctly or don't bother wearing them. **** or get off the pot. Back straight, bum out, stride. It's not rocket science

Yeah I meant on the skin. I can tell by someone's skin if they drink a lot of coffee or not
