What would this guy have to do for people to think he's terrible? He's so terrible.

The armchair managers would them have to secretly admit moyes is actually a fairly good manager

It's that same thing that you see in here the whole time. If the style of football looks a certain way, it doesn't matter how effective it is.

Good, the two of them were idiots.

    Well that was fun.

Honestly, and I do not care what people say, I thought we were very solid again tonight.

Yet again we pressed and our aggression was very neat and we got the ball back aplenty. We were very organised, played some neat football and imo deserved the 3 points .

Di Maria had a mixed bag but he looks much better on the wing and once he gets a goal I think will play big part.

The back four were very solid. Valencia I thought had one of his better games. His strength as a RB is severely underratted in here. I thought Blind and Herrera had good games again. Blind is still clumsy but on the ball he is solid. Herrera bar the incident that led to Newcastle's best chance played well.

Fellaini though was super. Great strength and his passing was excellent. Really was pleased with him tonight. Rooney up to was also refreshing. Should of scored but least he is in his right position.

The only downside for me is our chance creation should be little better and we are still a little slow and unbalanced when in opposition final third.

But I have seen a decent improvement in last 2 games. We are much more working as a unite now and we just need work on a sharper final ball in the opposition third and we could be right.

Also Kew has 100% (2\2) in opening match threads . I said I would deliver and I have ;)

I've he same feelings as this. I only got really tetchy when it got to the last few minutes, as I thought we controlled the game enough to win, and I was just waiting for the goals to go in. Rooney incorrectly called offside was frustrating, as it really would have settled things a little.

Evans probably going to get banned for a fair bit for that spit, no doubt about it in my book it was a directed spit at him. Which probably is for the best as I dislike Evans immensely and get worried when he is the team.

But it looks like a shape and stable team is coming together. I hope anyway, and hope it provides some fruits going forward.

Had absolutely no qualms with Falcao not coming on, Fellaini was providing so much more then Falcao does.

I just love how he nonchalantly takes the ball down on his chest, then to his feet, while someone is absolutely harassing him. There was a beautiful moment in the second half where he did a lovely turn on when on a run. Little jink, then just PLOUGHED someone to the floor, another jink, and then the lay off. It was immense.

If he keeps this up he will be a cult legend for me. He is so unique, and we should be championing him, he might be a premier league freak, but he is our freak!

Its great not to have half the squad injured for a change. If Evans gets a ban I presume we will see Rojo move to CB and Shaw go in as LB.
What's the story with Rafa supposed to be fit the past few weeks but hasn't got a look in.

Still shouldn't be more than 3 like it would have been if they'd both headbutted each other or something. Not sure what Evans was thinking, was the spit at him? If so it was poorly aimed. I can't believe he was trying to spit at him, it only hit cisse when he bolted up pretty fast.

Our manager deserves lot of credit for Fellaini.

He showed great belief in him when others would have made him a scapegoat.

Think his passing is super. Very quick feet too. Nothing like the clumsey, slow player people would make you believe

I thought Evans was absolutely ****e again last night. Whatever about Di Maria going off the boil, Evans just looks constantly nervous with the ball at his feet.

Am I watching different games to people? Evans last night made some crucial headers, great passes to the front players and prevented a goal in a 2 on 1 situation by not committing himself. What did Smalling do? Almost give away a penalty and was out of position for 90% of the game. He's another like Young who's getting away with useless performances for no reason at all.

I think a severe punishment is good for something like that. I don't think footballers are role models but kids are watching and spitting is such an easy thing to start replicating. It's fairly scummy in general whereas a headbutt can be just anger/frustration in the heat of the moment.
Although in fairness most kids would have more sense than the pair of them.
Evans definitely got up looked at him and aimed a spit straight towards Cisse, he meant it for sure.

I'm also happy that it could mean the end of Evans at cb for the season. He's devoid of confidence and hasn't turned into the leader he should be with his experience level. Rojo seems a better pairing with either Jones or Smalling at this stage.

if utd win monday nite against arsenal the chelsea away game will be rescheduled due to cup semi final.

if chelsea are in champions league semi final the only date that works in the 20th of may. 3 days before last game of season away to hull and 3 days after arsenal game.

    that will just be massive!!!

Think Young has been a bright light since start of new year.

He is working hard trying get ball, showing for the ball and not hiding. He has not been exceptional or anything but think he has been very solid.

Just a thought I wonder maybe is that the last game we see Evans play for the club?? If they get a lengthy ban and someone else comes in to take his spot before the summer he may not get back in the team and I think he will be sold in the summer because he is the oldest of our crap Central defenders and one that's least likely to improve. Well here is hoping its bye bye Evans.

spitting offence was a 3 game ban, but after last season the FA doubled the punishment to 6 games. The both of them will get at least 4-5 games imo

Solid is not something I want from my wingers though. Last night was his first goal this season and that's after he didn't have the skill to deal with an easy chance earlier in the match. I like his attitude and wish other players would show the same but his end product is useless.

Competent wingers are the biggest deficiency in the team right now. I'd take Blind out and play Fellaini, Herrera and Di Maria in the middle next season with Nani, and 2 new wingers brought in and Januzaj given out on loan.

if we have any aspirations of winning the league or doing well in the champions league next season, fellaini should not be in the starting 11.

One of the great misconceptions about Fellaini is that he is just a bumbling oaf.

He is very good technically with the ball at his feet. There was an incident in the first half were he spun away from one man and beat 3 others by jinking away from them with nice control.

His skill set is so unique and a fantastic asset for any team to have. Has great control and is massive so won't be pushed off the ball like mata.

I love see him putting in his strong tackles

Ogdon has actually wrote a story headlining "Giggs loosing faith in Van Gaal philosophy?" after the altercation between the two....

Fella is totally in the wilderness now with United...

I think Evans will get 6, Cisse 7 (previous ban will get him first one).

Other than the fact he's been the best outfield player on the 4th best team in the league this season? He makes more of a difference than Herrera and always seems cool and collected on the ball and when it's played to him. Him not being put straight back in after his injury cost United a lot of points imo.

That could even work out in Utd's favour. It's possible Chelsea might have the title won by that point and might be a little easier to get a result against them.

His articles are terrible and he doesn't even have a proper source once Moyes was gone.

4th best team in a season that will probably go down as one of the worst premier league seasons of recent times, quality of play, ref decisions, diving, technical ability probably at an all time low

It annoys me that he seems to get a hard time from refs because of his size and strength. Sure, he goes in too hard or lets his elbows flail from time to time, but a lot of very soft fouls are given against him that I don't think would be given against a smaller player.

Just saw the Newcastle penalty shout there.

I'm not into some trolling idea of justice or anything. You won - move on.

But Jesus, what an AWFUL attempt at a tackle from the defender. What te he'll was he at?

Yeah I know it's so weird, him and Jackson writing epicly speculative articles this season that just make no sense and have pretend sources. Such a dramatic change from their accurate, and good reporting, last season.
