LVG love for De Gea and Rooney, the latter is brilliant - Rooneys face!

There is zero chance of Di Maria leaving in the summer imo.

I hope not. He is a fantastic player but he just doesn't seem settled and will LVG persist with him if he wants out?

Herrera will be kept imo. Di Maria as above. As rewards Mata its as clear as day that LVG doesn't see him as a first team player. And I ant see him being a bench warmer. Also haven't we got Fellandino as our creative player. Who needs mata

Mata has started loads of games this year. Hardly his fault felladinho is better at the moment

Last night wasn't complete ****e, I've definitely seen worse but in the second half looked like we'd no ideas, think he was far too slow to change things up.

Rinse and repeat really, Ashley Young did pretty well, Di Maria on the opposite side failed to impress, though he's obviously trying. Still a lot of backward passing from a confidence stricken defence which makes any attempt at countering null and void.

Snakey goal, we didn't really deserve and a clean sheet to flatter..

I thought Evans was absolutely ****e again last night. Whatever about Di Maria going off the boil, Evans just looks constantly nervous with the ball at his feet.
    De Gea
    Valencia - Smalling - Rojo - Shaw/Blind
    Carrick/Blind - Herrera
    Januzaj/Di Maria - Mata - Young
    Rooney

How long would you expect Mata to sit on the bench as second best?

I'd like him to stay, but I don't think it's 'tin foil hattery' to think some high profile names will leave in the summer, I think its to be expected.

Out of me h*le. You have a habit of mocking other peoples opinions / posts without being able to counter argue the posts constructively. Its my opinion. Who do you think will be sold as a matter of interest??.

Why? It's stupid thinking. We will ha more games next year? You need a strong squad

Because those opinions are stupid. I'm not gonna try convince someone with a stupid opinion they are wrong because they will never accept it.

I have no idea. Depends on worst case scenario of not getting Europe.

It's not stupid thinking. Any player wants to play games, if anyone feels they aren't playing enough they'll opt to transfer elsewhere.

You might not want Juan Mata to leave, you might not think LVG would want to sell him, but that doesn't mean he'll be a United player next season.

Watching MOTD now, on to the Everton game. Very enjoyable match :)

Watching Everton defend is great, worst return after 28 games since 19dickety7 or something too which is also lovely. Be careful what you wish for seems quite apt and to learn to appreciate what you had instead of being deceived by some latin lothario with his sexy football :)

Delighted for Diouf too, have followed his career since his time at United for whatever reason, he really is a solid striker and I like seeing him do well

Martinez and Everton not in a very powerful "moment" right now and long may it continue. Relegation form is his specialty though its a shame there are such awful teams down the bottom this season

(Never had an ounce of bitterness toward Everton before last season)

De Gea - I still think he will be signing for Madrid in the summer.

Rafael - Been back fit for a while, not even a peak at first team football. Surely gone.
    Evans - Could be sold
    Jones - Could be sold
    Smalling - Could be sold
    Rojo - Staying
    McNair - Staying
    Blacket - Staying
    Shaw - Staying

    Blind - Staying.
Herrera - given recent run, and recent signing status, could well stay but based on the first half of his United stint looked like a sale.
    Fellaini - Staying
    Carrick - Staying
    Young - Staying
    Valencia - Staying
    Januazaj - Staying
Di Maria - would expect him to stay. Woodward won't want to sell him.
Mata - Could see him sold, expect him to be.

    Rooney - Staying.
RVP - expect him to stay.
    Falcao - Gone.
    Wilson staying

Transfer targets - GK, CB, RB, CM, Striker. Expect at least one of Smalling, Jones and Evans to be sold.

Lloris is apparently the GK target, Clyne the RB target. No idea about targets for the other positions. Will likely depend on where we finish this season.

Does anyone know how many of the 28 league games De Gea has been MOTM in???

Yep, Everton fans are getting exactly what they deserve ... their taunting of Moyes at United was disgusting after what he had done for that club over a decade... they had forgot it was Moyes who built Everton into an incredibly hard team to beat..

How they would take 4th, 5th or 6th now ... they lower they finish the better for me, they deserve everything they get this season.

    Absolute tosh

Moyes got a standing ovation at Goodison both before and after his last home game as Everton manager against west Ham where many clubs would have booted him out the door as soon as he agreed to manage someone else. Would Man Utd keep LVG for even one more game if hypothetically he announced he was leaving to manage, say Chelsea at the end of a season? In your ****e would they! Not even after he wins titles would Man Utd even let him say goodbye never mind give him a standing ovation with it!

What's more, if after LVG, or even Alex Ferguson did become Chelsea manager - would Man Utd supporters be impressed if he then spent an entire Summer offering 20p for Rooney and Van Persie and also making statements about how if he was still Man Utd manager, he'd let them leave for the good of their careers. That's what Moyes did as soon as he was out the door - unsettled Everton players by offering A LOT less money for Fellani and Baines combined than what they ended up paying for Fellaini alone - I believe £16 Million combined bid was the offer - where they ended up paying £27.5 Million for Fellaini alone...and he dragged ot out for all of that Summer and he made statements that he'd let Baines move for the good of his career if he was still Everton manager....completely contradicting what both what he did and said when he was Everton manager

When he was Everton manager he repeatedly stated that anyone who wanted to buy his best players better be coming with a very big chequebook. And when he was Everton manager he had an ethos based on the respect of never publicly talking about players at other clubs. As soon as he became Man Utd manager, that respect vanished. So who shouldn't Everton's respect for him have vanished too?

No idea but while he did well last night, he wasnt my MOTM. I mean they were two saves you would expect most keepers to make.

Neville wants the see the Spurs and Pool games before predicting top 4, don't we all Gary...

On Mata I hope we keep him but I think he will ask if it's the same bit part role for him next season and if so he'll want out, can't begrudge him that, he's the type of player you drop into a functioning team and he'll excel but he's not going to drag poor teams, like we have been for a few seasons.

11 goals and 7 assists in 31 league games on paper is just as good as any number 10 in the league despite playing in a dysfunction team

I jsut can't see UNited, playing as badly as they are, maintaining a 2 point lead over liverpool for the remainder of the season. We have a tougher run in than them too.

I do expect us to finish 5th, but just can't see us outlasting Liverpool, while playing as poorly as we are, and I can't see an improvement in performances coming.

would agree 100% with that. Spurs next in the league, we can do ourselves a huge favour and put a huge dent in their pursuit for 4th spot.

Liverpool away to Swansea on the Monday night football, might be a tough game for them.

The next game is the big showdown though that we cannot afford to lose, away to Liverpool. 6 Points in them 2 games would imo set us up for a top 3/4 position. Anything Less than 4 points and I feel we will be in trouble for top 4

I love how everyone is falling all over themselves to say "I still think he's a good manager but...".

What would this guy have to do for people to think he's terrible? He's so terrible.

Could easily see us getting just 1 point out of those 6

If Swansea could get something off liverpool, i'd take 2 points from those games just to maintain position.

Imagine DDG does leave in the Summer and our main target to replace him is Lloris. We would probably have to pay Levy more than what we got for DDG to land him.

That would seriously leave a bad taste in the mouth.

agree totally just cant see finishing 4th the way they are playing, i think the main problem is that there is just too much sideways passing from every player and this is obviously coming from LVG as he wants to defend through possession but it looks like the players are afraid to take a risky pass or show any creativity.

No striker is going to do well playing like this no matter who is up there rooney, falcao or rvp its going to be a hard slog through the rest of the season for sure

Someone had a website a while ago where you put in what points you think teams will get in their remaining fixtures - anyone have a link to it?
