Sad news. TOS provided some funny moments between Kirk, Spock and McCoy.

BBC news appeared to be in the know as they showed a highly produced highlight reel on his career. News programmes having something in the can and ready to go seems be a common practice when a well known person is near death. A little bit morbid.... I wonder who makes the decision that someone is on the way out and they should put a package together?

He epitomised some of the happiest of my childhood memories watching Star Trek. I was obsessed by it. He was the yardstick for all the follow on roles which came after. RIP.
