If sprinter doesn't make Cheltenham champagne fever is your champion chaser.

Imagine, what a let down that would be.

I can see him winning it if sprinter didn't turn up. Horse comes alive at Cheltenham and apart from sire DE grudgy I don't think there's much to beat. Dodging bullets for all he's done this season so far won't be winning a champion chase.

Smashing at 25/1 NRNB looks a decent each way bet in the JLT when you look
    at his form.

Ah now, considering our choices after SS are SDG, who I love but is limited, Dodging Bullets who is exceedingly average and CF has aleady beaten, Mr.Mole and Hidden Cyclone :)

Champagne fever will try set the pace, special tiara will be too quick,cf jumping will go to pot and run no kind of race, that what i think anyway

So, what price SDG? SS wont make it, Henderson wont run him if hes bleeding when put under pressure and and possibly changed his training regime because of the bleed..He'll see that at home and wont risk him..

    @toim9

I don't know the chap personally, he is a young lad bout 20. Very immature in alot of ways and sounds like a spoilt child on the tweet machine BUT this lad is a fairly big punter and quiet a decent one at that. A cousin of mine would be friendly with him and he tells me this. An example would be 1k ew on jezki last year at 9/1 (legit).

I've yet to see him run bad around Cheltenham. He just loves the place. Forget about his runs soo far this year he tends to save the best for Cheltenham. He had a very poor run where his jumping was suspect before the festival last year and was bet on the line in the arkle . I think without sprinter on the race he's the next best. Sprinter first champagne second sire third there's a nice tricast for ye all.

I would think 6/4 sdg if sprinter becomes a non runner. Bookies won't go as big on him as last year where 11/4 was huge. They've learnt their lesson.

7/2 + that morning. But anyway, its relatively easy to work out what the prices are if a horse withdraws. If a firm has SS 3/1, he's taking up 25% of their book, they have to reduce everyone by 25% to get the same sort of overround. SDG goes to a general 9/4 - 2/1

The young lad may have had a g ew on jezki last year but he's a total idiot and cant read a race at all and his attempt at humour is pretty awful too. Plenty of lads lump big on horses and clean up a big sum but they're putting the same on when they're losing. Guaranteed that young lad is down a lot of money, probably has a rich daddy that shows his love with a blank chequebook, seen it plenty of times before,no question in my mind that kids hemmhoraging money and will soon be in trouble either with daddy or the bank.A pal of mine 17 or 18 years back won 32 or 33k on a lucky 15 i **** you not. Same lad was getting a lend of money off me 3 or 4 months later to pay rent. Was putting on 2 or 3 5e/w lucky 15s(150 pound a pop) a day but of course he never advertised them. Gamblings meant to be fun,for some people it cant be

Just took 74/1 on Foxrock on Betfair exchange for the Gold Cup. He is as low as 12/1 elsewhere he might not go but it's worth a chance for a small stake for value if he turns up.

As I've posted before, I think Sprinter Sacre will win the QM with the benefit of a run, a stronger pace and (hopefully) better ground. Must say though, having been against him throughout last year, the more I watched it the more I was mightily impressed by SDG at the weekend. Regardless of the quality of opposition, to give that weight away, travel and jump as boldly as he did makes him a massive danger but still hopefully that on better ground SS will have too much toe for him. The field behind the two market leaders is bang average. Can't have DB at all given his previous record (will get done for pace anyway IMO) and while Champagne Fever has a fine festival record, do his backers realise that he's never won a chase over the minimum trip? The Arkle he ran in was poor and while he probably has a place chance in an open enough race, it's a leap of faith to think he will break him 2m duck in the biggest race of all. Could easily see Hidden Cyclone grabbing third but hopefully Hendersons beast can win it.

Totally agree. If she was fit and well she would win this years Gold Cup imo if she was sent chasing.

Lol we've never even seen her jump a fence.

    What a mad statement.

Why do people have to make such de facto statements? It just makes one look silly if proven wrong.

IMO about less than 20% of punters going into bookie shops on a regular basis turn a profit over the course of a year.EG I know for a fact that one individual going to my local bookies keeps one staff member employed. Basicly if he stops going in they will make a member of staff redundant.

I would say less again smart people back online. I can;t understand how anyone serious about gambling doesn;t shop around online and also not avail of guaranteed prices online.

That's a serious price e/w i can;t see him placing in the RSA but he has a chance to place in a poor Arkle.

I'd say less than 5% if honest. As someone eluded to anyone that takes it serious doesn't sit in a bookies all day.
