Douvan and Don Cossack (Ryanair) both to win - 13/1

Aurore D'estruval out of the mares hurdle. Slim pickings now for Annie.

was just watching a rerun of last years gold cup, From the last fence it was the weirdest race i have seen. wtf happened bobs worth on the run in, did he get spooked ? If he turns up this year he would have to have a hell of a chance. He looked a certainty after he jumped the last .

With Aurore D'estruval out Willie would win the Mares with Glens Melody. It makes since now for Annie Power to go for the WH. I think they will go down this route now. If Annie is anywhere near full fitness she should be beating that field. There are question marks over all of them Annie can be backed at 21's on betfair worth a punt in my opinion.

With Aurore out Annie Power is even more of a certainty to run in the mares in my opinion. If backing for the world maybe shorter price at nrnb is the way to go rather than a bigger price on betfair under antepost rules.

I see Paddy Power took More of That out of the World Hurdle betting a few days back but have yet to refund my ante post bet. Jokers.

Tbh they still have my Allez Colombieres ante post bet down as 'pending' and not as a loser

Had him doubled up with Lazarus for the 1500m in Brazil next year too :pac:

Wouldnt surprise me if they didnt refund the bet until after the race :pac:

I have More of That in a Lucky 31 ante post bet. Is the whole bet a loser now or will the selection of More of That just be void, and effectively make the bet a Lucky 15?

Just because he's out of the betting doesn't mean he can't run - remember Binocular??

Backed it when it was NRNB so its money back.

    Forgot about that cheers

They said Pont Alex will need to show something special in the next week to run in Cheltenham. So on that basis if he lines up he must be flying at home and will certainly be of interest

I was on about my Allez Colombieres bet, don't think anyone was going NRNB in November :P

Fiveforthree was off the track for exactly the same amount of time as PA and came back to run 3rd in Coral Cup in 2013 carrying 11-11!

    I smell a plot....

It's money back when he's officially a non-runner. Don't think any bookie settles ante-post when connections say a horse won't make it. They wait until they know.

I'd read very little into that entry. It never has been mullins style to withdraw anything early, he has ten entries for the coral cup still.

You taking the 20s NRNB with 365 or waiting?

Tony Martin is some man, Ted Veale with either 11-00 or 11-01 in the last two races. Well worth a few bob nrnb at 12/1 and 14/1

Would be absolutely astonished if Mullins rerouted Annie to WH. Can't remember a case when Willie went against his original plan any way drastically. Having watched the Setanta documentary on his great father, I think his cautiousness comes from Paddy's experience with Dawn Run, the owner forcing him to run her in the French Champion Hurdle against his wishes, resulting in the great mares death. It would explain both Willies cautious approach and his utter refusal to bend to popular opinion outside of his close circle.

Well thank god Mrs. Hill aspired to run her in the worlds greatest races albeit the French CH was a step too far. The way AP was campaigned last year was a utter travesty. You don't get mares like her coming along every season and you have to run them to their full potential when fit and healthy. She's now resigned to be Quevega's understudy in the Mares.

Totally agree. If she was fit and well she would win this years Gold Cup imo if she was sent chasing.

if I was to pick a Tony Martin one in the handicaps, it'd be Edeymi.
runs off the same mark as when 4th to Dawalan at Musselburgh without being put into the race at all.
