Snow Falcon - Albert Bartlett - 40/1 is a touch big and NRNB

Absolutely. Especially considering he is 16 with Powers. I backed him yesterday.

Meade gave him a nice mention in the Racing Post yesterday too:

"He has a very big chance in the Albert Bartlett. The trip will make a big difference to him. He has more pace than last year's winner Very Wood."

Went in again after those comments. Bet-to-nothing. Lines up as a 14/1->20/1 poke. Price will be gone soon one would think :)

Now with MOT out of the World Hurdle I think Whisper is good value at 12/1. Has superb course form and he dispatched the likes of At Fishers Cross and Zarkandar at Aintree so is no mug. Id be all over ROR but stamina doubts is putting me off big time.

Who is the 3rd mare? Vroum Vroum?

    Gitane.

If Annie doesnt run I think Glens is the one to beat, Gitane has a squeak at a place.

Vorum is chasing she has an entry in the 4 miler

Why would Gitane du Berlais run in the mares hurdle? She looks a very talented chaser after brushing aside Irish Saint pretty comfortably last time out. Would be madness to send her to the mares, is that even a possibility?

I think Mullins prefers Limerick on Patrick's day for Vroum Vroum Mag anyway.

Gitane is going for the JLT is she not?

Depending the price on the day i might have a little bet on analifet for a place in the mares if she goes. Proper pace will suit her down to the ground travels a dream and has lots of ability but couldn't be trusted in a finish to get the win but could get a place at nice odds.

She's quite highly strung as well could see the occasion getting to her, but she will be a big price

I'd totally agree she's a monkey but i could see someone offering double figures for a place and I'd only be having a score or so on for an interest.

Would be absolutely astonished if Mullins rerouted Annie to WH. Can't remember a case when Willie went against his original plan any way drastically. Having watched the Setanta documentary on his great father, I think his cautiousness comes from Paddy's experience with Dawn Run, the owner forcing him to run her in the French Champion Hurdle against his wishes, resulting in the great mares death. It would explain both Willies cautious approach and his utter refusal to bend to popular opinion outside of his close circle.

Had a quick scan through the JLT on the phone and missed her, thought it was odd alright that, she could go very close in it. That said, it's very hard second guessing WP

On the ATR Rich Ricci tour RR was saying the mares hurdle this year because of the prep, seemed to come across if she had of run before Cheltenham this year she would have went for the world hurdle. Listening to him Vroum Vroum Mag will either go 4miler or more than likely a grade 2 in Limerick.

At a guess Un De Sceaux to Champion Hurdle last year, Annie Power to World Hurdle this year

    Separately, Pricewise Q&A is here:

    Annie to run in CH
    UDS to run in CH
Faugheen to run in Irish CH
    Etc etc

FWIW no other trainer would get away with not running a Champaign Hurdle fav in the Irish equivalent

Backing Noel Meade horses at Cheltenham is the fastest way to the poor house.

1pt win on Very Wood last year would cover you for his next 40 runners or so. Theyve been running much better for him over there in recent years. If he's had a problem with Cheltenham prep in the past (whiich I doubt), hes found the right way now

Hi guys, have been looking at MOON RACER for the bumper. Has had 2 runs winning both. First run in the goffs bumper was very impressive. Held up out the back until turning for home he cut through the field stylishly and went away from some nice types including Elliot's tycoon prince to win easily. He was bought after that and sent to David pipes where he was sent to Cheltenham for a bumper in October. Different tactics this day as he was prominent throughout and when they turned for home he scooted away up the hill to win as he liked. 12/1 at the moment and I reckon if he was with Mullins he would be 6/1. His two runs are worth a look at. Any opinions guys?.

Really like him. He was mentioned by a few here on Sunday and I looked at him again. He's my idea of a likely winner, cd form, bust of speed he has shown in that sales race and the form holding up. Him, along with whatever Hobbs puts in after his recent newcomer won very well in a winners race at ascot fto. Cork all star landed it after a similar prep ( ran in open nov rather than oct) so don't let the break put you off. The only thing that is putting me off having a nrnb bet now is the market often tells a tale in the 10 mins before the off, bumper horses are inexperienced and the occasion can get to them so you can draw a line through most of them before they leave the parade ring and the market often reflects that. Finally, don't add any extra weight to my opinion based on my username so have a nrnb bet on him now if you feel he's "the one" as the oracle once proclaimed.

I don't think a few quid each way on a 40/1 shot is going to get us into too much trouble

One thing I was looking at last night was the National Hunt Chase this year. Now obv Willie is going to want Patrick to have a decent ride in it. Taking that Don Poli runs in the RSA then he is left with only Perfect Gentleman and Vroum Vroum Mag left in there. With Nina C and JJ Codd among others available to take the ride on the Gigginstown horses, he might not get first choice on the likes of Very Wood, Thunder & Roses or Wounded Warrior if they were to run.

Think it's worth taking a chance on Perfect Gentleman at 14/1 for a small bit each way in the hope that he is Patrick's ride on the day. If that is the case, just for the Mullins factor alone he might be a 6 or 7/1 shot come Tuesday of the festival.

Morning Run is the other Mare from Willies yard she is still a novice though

but at least she is a hurdler rather than a chaser some of the more knowledgeable folk have put up ;)
