Might be gone into a hold.
FR from stansted looks like it's gone around at SNN, very gusty down this direction

Looks like he turned left instead of right after the go around. ATC had to vector a RYR B738 to avoid. It wasn't any major drama or anything like a near miss but it's the first time I've seen such an event.

ATC has informed STK7NC that she will have to file a report.....

It went around and turned right, so at what point did it make the "erroneous" turn? During the go around, it went over me at just over 3000ft with plenty of power wound on. Sounded great!

I can see the Ryanair (Fr109) holding near Shannon from my house here in west Clare, its rare they hold down here.

It made a go around earlier.

It turned right from the runway (28) heading. Then it was asked to turn left (presumably to KERAV) but instead turned right. ATC then then vectored it to SORIN where it is still in the hold.

At least that's my understanding of events.

Did a go around - probably waiting to see if the winds subside before making another attempt or choosing to divert.

Looks like the stansted - Shannon flight diverting (to Dublin?) after the Berlin flight failed to get down.
Edit: wrong! Holding (tks carnacalla, at least someone is paying attention !)

Fr2312 (Sxf-Snn) will hold at 5000ft until better weather available.

    Fr109 (STN-SNN) will also hold.

Some almighty thunder and lightning just outside Shannon, don't think there'll be anything landing for the next short while

If this attempt fails where will EI3357 (NCL-DUB) divert to?

RYR109 off to DUB I think

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,487 ✭✭✭✭JCX BXC

An air contractors 737-400 just took off from Shannon, so Shannon is open. Maybe the 2 ryanairs will have another attempt.

Conditions in Dublin seem to be moderating, it might be ok.
