Doesn't usually update destinations for diversions.

Just landed in Shannon from Berlin. First approach was very hairy, so we went around. Then very bad turbulence once we leveled off again, THEN got struck by lightning once if not twice. Made a 2nd attempt after 20 minutes and touched down - scary stuff!

Don't worry, we were all keeping a good eye on you and making sure everything worked out just fine ;)

Your lucky you got to shannon. The flight was considering diversions.

On another note, was there many on the flight? Berlin from shannon in mid-February doesn't sound like a flight that fills easily.

Forget compensation, they should charge the pax more for the extra fuel and associated costs if you ask me.

Are passangers allowed to stay in Dublin if they want now & refuse to get bussed if they don't fly down to SNN?

They can do whatever they like as long as they don't expect FR to put them up in hotels instead :p

Once we had to go around I presumed we'd be headed for DUB. The lightning was surreal - the noise was crazy!

Flight was actually 90% full - on both legs of the journey.

Interesting. If this is the case in mid February id say a capacity increase is on the horizon.

Ryanair flights normally are close to full, no matter what the route is. id say ive only been on a flight with less than 150 people about 2 times out of 300 flights.

I was on a flight from Shannon to Bristol with Ryanair several years ago in late janurary. There was no more than 100 people on that flight.

Pax collect bags and bring to bus themselves, or go their own way or whatever they want to do.

The return flight to Stansted from the SNN diversion earlier is down on the Stansted site as arriving 0515! Feel sorry for those folks
