Cerys Matthews, that lead singer from the Thrills, Bob Dylan, Sophie Ellis Baxter (?), Ronan Keating, Damien Dempsey and Dolores O'Riordan.

Definately a case of different strokes for folks here, seen a good few named here whose voice I actually really like, even if I'm not a fan of their music.

For me though, listening to Dolores O'Riordan would come a close second to having my ears eaten by flesh-eating beetles from the inside-out.
In your heaaaaaaaaaad, In your heeeeaaaaaaaad
    Zoh-hoh-oh-mm-biee Zoh-hoh-oh-mm-biee Zoh-hoh-oh-mm-biee bee-iieeeee aaaieee aaaieee
    What's in your heaaaaaaaaaaaaad

Your annoying grating voice, that's what is in my head. I really wish it wasn't. Please disappear, and bring your life's work and back catalogue with you.

Miley freakin' Cyrus. Sounds like Matthew McConaughey but with a deeper voice.

    Leonard Cohen
Good lyrics but please leave the singing to someone who can

    Same applies to Bruce Springsteen

Ye wha? They haven't released anything in about 20 years and it's not as if their stuff is played all the time. Like going back to the mid 90s reading this thread, wha!

Incidentally, I do a great impression of her.

Jessie J. A woman notorious for hitting every note in the vocal scale, including those that shouldn't be in said scale. Atrocious.

Christy how can I protect you dignam and bono..... Two prize aural pains

His voice goes right through me. I hate that style of singing so many of those rebel singers grind my gears but his does the most!

i like a lot of the ones named here like Bowie, Bob Dylan, Ian Curtis etc. They have distinct voices where you know who they are when you hear a song by them.

Its the ones like Mariah Carey, Whitney Heuston and Celine Dion who are applauded for their perfect singing voices and hitting high notes or whatever that I find extremely boring.

I especially hate when they do that thing when they are singing where they lift their finger and put it in a circle like they are catching the note or something

I am amazed that David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Brandon Flowers, Bob Dylan and Gerard Way have made this thread!!!

I cannot tolerate the sound of Mary Black, Celine Dion or Mariah Carey at all. Would rather listen to nails scraping a blackboard.

Charlie Fink out of Noah and the Whale can't sing, how he's made a living out of it is beyond me. His voice grates on my ears so fúcking much!!

She's insufferable for a number of reasons but her voice is definitely a big one. Another one I can't stand is that one who sings Chandelier, completely overblown ****e.

The Heathers (all of them!). Remember that really annoying song for the Discover Ireland ad? Sounds like a sack of cats about to be drowned!

In addition to several who have been mentioned already I'll add Christy Moore to the list. If someone ever wanted to torture me, 10 seconds of him and I'd tell them everything they wanted to know.
