Connect the wires to their points first and test them out to make sure it works and always (always) check that you have the casing on before you solder... Ha
Nothing to it really. If I can do it after watching a couple of videos, anyone can!

I done two before, one worked, the other didn't
It's prob the most difficult soldering job I can think of in terms of console modding, given the tiny solder points that are also covered with a resin that solder won't stick to. Pig of a job really, just stick to softmodding the PS2. 0 -

The guy that used to do my PS2's used a specialised microsolder rig, seemed like a pretty tough job that took about 2 hours.0 -

I'll stick to getting the PC version down the line when I upgrade to a DX11 graphics card. Coincidently enough I re-installed The Witcher 2 at the weekend, I had only played an hour or two of it previously, but I never remembered doing a tutorial at the start before.
