Happy but not ecstatic with Paint The Clouds. I'm sure they left plenty of him to work with to get him spot on for Cheltenham but not totally flawless.

Still 7's available. He's defo a good ground horse from his action. The way he picked up after the last was very impressive. His first run from May 14 you can be assured he'll come on a ton. First time seeing him. He looks a live one.

will run a big race in the gold cup and outrun the 16-1 on offer a good ew interest after the way it performed in the thyester chase

Jason Maguire out of Cheltenham with a ban, pending appeal.

Great to see some stewards doing their job, no chance it should be reduced on appeal. The ban should be longer for everyone concerned.

Henderson thinks Sprinter is nearly there, I hope he is telling the truth, will be a joy to see him back in his pomp

If there is a grain of truth in that its a 1 horse race.

Any advice? I backed the double with paint the clouds last night at 14s for the race today and the foxhunters. Luckily I saw rossoms advice re void bet and took the 10/1 special offer as well.

Would you contact support and fess up or leave it ride and hope its paid out if it wins? With the mayhem of cheltenahm it might have a chance of getting through?

And I hope there is, imagine how good the festival will be if UDS and Sprinter Sacre win like they are capable of, one for the great grandkids...

I stil think UDS has a few things to prove. While he was unbelievably impressive the last day he still has to prove he can do it around cheltenham.

If he makes even the slightest mistake at the speed he will travel he is gone.

He is unproven on good ground.

He has to stay up the hill. Something has stuck in my mind about the day in france that gemix nearly caught him over 2m3.

I wont be backing against him or backing him.

Hope he does it but not convinced.

Just looking at betting for first day,Irish have favourite for all 7 races,1-douvan,2-uds,3-foxrock,4-faugheen,5-annie power,6-don poli,7-blood cotil.could be some day,on a side note do people think that foxrock will be supplemted for the gold cup, serious run the last day, should take his chance id say.

should win he must jump fluently or like a lot of good things before him in previous years people will get their fingers burned

UDS will surely drift a bit on the day will he? 4/7 is certainly a price I won't be a player at.

Don't see any reason at all that he won't. His mistake 3 out was the only one I've seen him make over fences and thought he jumped like a buck for the rest of the contest. Think the quicker the go the better he'll jump too.

Leave it for now. I've a mate who has asked it to be referred to a trader having done the same as you so will let you know the outcome of that.

I backed it at 14's as well yesterday. Just saw Rossoms post about an hour before the race today and contacted the help desk chat. First assistant told me that the bet wouldn't be voided and that it was going in play. Got cut off with a bad a connection and asked a second assistant who told me the same thing. Not sure what to do now so will wait and hear what they get back to you with. Minimum we should get paid out at 10/1 on this should it win in Cheltenham.

The live chat people say it's fine but the traders, who know what they're talking about, say it wont.

The 2 handicaps will have different favs by offtime and be very shocked if foxrock ran anyway.
I'd say hell be kept for fairy house r ptown. Gold cup next year maybe.

I can see the bookies lighting their cigars with 50 quid notes by the end of the 1st day. I expect Douvan beat and wouldn't be overconfident of any of the other 3 either. Faugheens got it to prove for me yet although he could do just that but ill not b backing. Annie's been off a long time and she's twice the size of quevega so probably difficult enough to get fit at home and Quinns mare impressed me this season. UN due sceaux will win if he stays on his feet i think but couldn't back at the current price. If they get 2 of Mullins beat it'll be job done for the bookies I'd say.

I think Tuesday will either be the best or worst day in the bookies history. Get the impression that if Douvan wins the opener then Willie will have a monster of a day.

What you make of Douvan? Think by a distance he's the mist vulnerable of Mullins hotpots. Very hard to see other 3 beaten

got a feeling the mullins horse will have a lot on its plate with L ami Sergie who as the strongest form going into the race trounced the betfair hurdle winner in the gerry fielden think this horse will shorten on the day 9/2 with paddy power at this moment dont delay

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,224 ✭✭✭jimjamcos

I wouldn't be touching any horse for Supreme now at the prices until the night before race. It's a guarantee that bookies will be laying enhanced prices, extra places, MB specials etc in the first race so take advantage of that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 291 ✭✭dickenson famous5

Yes think your right but hendersons horse will start close to favourite

Think he looks a monster but wouldn't touch him at the prices. Will see what price is on the day/size of field. Bar L'Ami Serge it looks a really poor group that'll be turning up in opposition.
