Timing gates for sprints

Hi Has anybody come across any timers for speed tests. Don't need long range 20-50m Max. Its for home use so something cheap. Seen this app but not sure if its any good and look like its a 2 person job. I'm looking for something that can be used alone to test explosive acceleration off the line to measure progress (if any)…

Try measuring jump height. Its strongly linked to sprint speed.
This app is fairly reliable at measuring it.

Cheers - I actually downloaded the app so will report back on it.

Its for use wih my daughter as shes into tennis and needs sped work so was looking for sonething she might be able to use onher own and that she couldn't cheat.
