Wasn't he sacked at both Barcelona and Bayern?

yep and failed to qualify for the 2002 world cup with Holland with a star studded squad.

I have nothing against van gaal, I hope he does well, but no way am I happy with the current "playing style" if you can call it that

The answer is in your question.

    Alleged.

It was Valencia, although he just kept hitting his balls against her legs, although another story is that he got as far as the jacks door and turned to let somebody else have a go.:pac:

No results? A draw tonight at home to Burnley would fire Man United above Arsenal into 4th, a win could even get upto 3rd if West Ham carry on from Sunday. Where exactly were you expecting to finish?

I meant in the style of play/cohesion of the team more so than the multitude of draws we've gotten against middle placed teams who've been outplaying us.

Say a midfield of Blind - Herrera - Fellaini was picked for later on. Would the consensus be that Rooney ought to be picked up front ahead of Falcao/RVP?

imo yes 100%, better work rate and would suit either rvp or falcao to play along side them, although I would like to see falcao and rooney start up front together tonight

Yes, on the basis that neither RVP or Falcao have done enough up front so far this season, I would play Rooney over them.

That table would have more meaning of we improved after the 10 games but we've been consistently poor all season tbh, just less poor than the teams below us

Rooney and RVP together didn't really work, why doesn't LVG try Rooney and Falcao?

The table doesn't lie, it's proof we've plenty to be positive about.

Still need to turn the draws into wins now that we've turned the losses into draws.

I'd certainly fall into the argument that we're in a situation where we need results first, the quality of football won't be long following suit.

Have to say find those tables were tedious and annoying.

"Lets just hypothetically remove some history, so that it looks more appealing or favorable to my club". Not a pop at the poster of that, but they just annoy me.

All those two tables show me, granted what I already know, is that we totally made a ****ing hash of a very easy/favourible opening stretch of the season and there was a genuine chance there to make an early season push for 1st/2nd.

Don't think anyone has any problems with our position in the league in fairness, just how awful we are to watch

what situation are we in? its not as if we don't have the players. The bench alone v west ham we had fellaini, mata, smalling, Herrera, mcnair, valdes Wilson, our starting 11 included rooney di maria falcao van persie blind januzaj, there is no reason why we shouldn't be playing good football now, its February we were told it would be 3 months before we see his philosophy in place, unless van gaal is happy with how we are playing now?

There was plenty of people harping on about the unbeaten run and now it's only one loss in whatever many games. Is that any different? It's basically just a form table.
